Republicans are outraged by the indictment of former President Trump on charges related to the Mar-a-Lago documents. It is the first time in U.S. history that a former president has been charged with federal crimes.

The Biden FBI and DOJ’s weaponization against Trump is currently being documented, as a former agent involved in the matter speaks out. Three days prior to the indictment, the Judiciary Committee conducted a transcribed interview with the former assistant director of the FBI’s Washington field office, Steven D’Antuono.
According to the Daily Mail, Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan announced on Friday that FBI agent D’Antuono had expressed’strong concerns’ and disclosed’several peculiar features’ regarding the Department of Justice’s investigation on Mar-a-Lago. D’Antuono, one of the most senior agents in command of the investigation, expressed frustration to the committee that the FBI would be left “holding the bag” for the August 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago.
Daily Mail reported the agent’s concerns:
D’Antuono laid out several abnormalities in the raid, including first that the Miami field office did not handle it – headquarters instead assigned the Washington, D.C., Field Office to carry out the warrant.
D’Antuono stated that he ‘certainly had no idea’ why the decision was made. He also noted that the FBI would undertake the search without waiting for Trump’s attorney to arrive. Before conducting the search, he argued that the FBI should have attempted to coordinate with the attorney to obtain permission to search the residence.
D’Antuono believes Attorney General Merrick Garland or FBI Director Christopher Wray made the decision to pursue the warrant ‘despite opposition from the line agents’ working the case, noting that the FBI did not designate a U.S. attorney’s office to the investigation.
D’Antuono pointed out that the Miami field office was not responsible for the raid and that the FBI did not wait for Trump’s counsel to arrive before executing the search. This casts an even more troubling light on the FBI’s procedures, which, according to Republicans, have been weaponized against Trump.
Republicans view this unprecedented event as politically motivated, as no Democrats who also had White House documents in their possession after leaving office have been charged with misconduct.

Biden’s White House insisted Friday that it had no prior knowledge of the indictment, which seems strange since the possibility has been reported by multiple news sources, and President Biden said he had not spoken to Garland about the matter. “I have not spoken to him at all and I’m not going to speak with him. And I have no comment on that.” CONTINUE READING…
