Another Secret McCarthy Audio Leaks About Trump — Worse Than The First

The hole Kevin McCarthy is in keeps getting deeper.

We reported last week that in excerpts from an upcoming book quoted in a New York Times report, House Minority Leader McCarthy told Republican leaders, ‘I’ve had it with this guy,’

As reported by the book, backstabbing McCarthy expressed interest in pushing Trump to step down, but McCarthy’s spokesman Mark Bednar denied this, saying to the Times: ‘McCarthy never said he’d call Trump to say he should resign.’

We all know how that turned out. McCarthy was caught in a bald-faced lie when audio of a call between him and Liz Cheney was leaked. McCarthy and Cheney discussed him suggesting Trump step down.

When Fox News’ Bill Melugin asked directly about the call, McCarthy shamelessly denied the story once again even after being exposed as a liar and RINO fraud.

And now there’s this.

The New York Times has gained access to more leaked audio of Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy discussing the 25th Amendment following the January 6 Capitol protest.

A recording of Kevin McCarthy speaking with Liz Cheney and other members of the House GOP last month revealed that McCarthy told Cheney back on January 10, 2021, that he would advise Trump to quit. The audio was played on MSNBC.

“I think [impeachment resolutions] will pass, and it would be my recommendation you should resign,” McCarthy told Cheney he would tell Trump. He went on, “what he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that and nobody should defend it.”

“What the president did was atrocious and totally wrong. From the standpoint, we’re 12 days away – I mean the one point I’d make with Biden – if you have an impeachment and you’re stuck sitting in the senate and he needs cabinet members, he’s got Secretary of Defense, he’s got a lot of things he’s got to have moving….” McCarthy the backstabber said.

McCarthy said he also wanted to meet with Biden and get him to meet with Trump.

“I do think the impeachment divides the nation further and continues the fight even greater. That’s why I want to reach out to Biden. I wanted the President to meet with Biden — that’s not going to happen,” McCarthy continued.

“[The 25th Amendment] takes too long. It could go back to the House, right?” McCarthy queried his aide John Leganski.

Even on CNN today, host of “The Lead” Jake Tapper expressed shock that McCarthy didn’t come out and defend Trump in the slightest.

CNN reported:

Invoking the 25th Amendment would have required then-Vice President Mike Pence and a majority of the Cabinet to vote to remove Trump from office due to his inability to “discharge the powers and duties of his office” — an unprecedented step.

The new audio release of McCarthy is the latest in a series of such releases featuring the House GOP leader that have shed light on what he said privately to other House Republicans in the aftermath of the January 6 attack.

And the fact McCarthy was pressing one of his aides for details about how the 25th Amendment process would work shows there was a serious conversation at the highest levels of GOP leadership about the idea — not just idle chatter — even if it was ultimately deemed not a viable option.

Last week, Matt Gaetz joined Tucker Carlson to air more recordings of the RINO minority leader, which revealed his shameless efforts to shield his fellow RINO sellout Liz Cheney from criticism.

On the call, which is reportedly from January 10th, 2020, McCarthy asserts that Republican officials’ comments about “anti-Trump Republicans,” such as Cheney, are “personal threats,” essentially constituting “illegal activity.”

In Tucker’s view, “like a liberal college professor, [McCarthy] believes that words are violence.”

It can be inferred that Trump was not the only America First Republican McCarthy had in mind to unseat. There is no one who is safe from being targeted if they stand up to the RINO wing of the Republican Party.

Rep. Steve Scalise’s real intentions are also revealed in the leaked audio:

Kevin McCarthy: “The other thing I want to bring up, and I’m making some phone calls to some members. I just got something sent now about NewsMax – something Matt Gaetz said where he’s calling people’s names out, saying “anti-trump” in this type of atmosphere and some other places. This is serious stuff people are doing that has to stop. Ok, what did Gaetz say?”

Aide: “Hi, yeah, Gaetz said… Gaetz brought up Liz [Cheney] specifically. I just saw that on Twitter.”

McCarthy: “And Adams. Someone just sent it.” Gonzalez just sent it to me so I’m calling Gaetz. I’m explaining to him [that he has to stop]. I don’t know that he has much to say, but I’m going to have some other people call him too. But the nature of what – if I’m getting a briefing, I’m going to get another one from the FBI tomorrow. This is serious sh*t, to cut this out.”

Steve Scalise: “Yeah that’s, I mean it’s potentially illegal what he’s [Gaetz] doing.”

McCarthy: “Well, he’s putting people in jeopardy and he doesn’t need to be doing this. We saw what people would do at the Capitol.”
