During an appearance on Fox News on Thursday evening, a Republican senator dropped a bombshell in response to former president Donald Trump’s announcement that the Justice Department intended to indict him for possessing classified information.

Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida and member of the House Oversight Committee, issued a warning on Twitter on Tuesday, stating that “the FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family.”

The FD-1023 form, which contains allegations that President Joe Biden participated in an unlawful bribery scheme while serving as vice president, is at the center of a dispute between the FBI and the Oversight Committee. At the time she sent the tweet, this dispute was still in progress. James Comer, the chairperson of the committee and a Republican from Kentucky, asserted that the FBI informed him that the documents were relevant to an ongoing investigation.

During an interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters, Luna elaborated on her remark and provided additional information.

“Not only does that tell me that the FBI is not even competent within themselves to protect a witness, but also too, I mean, the evidence that they have — that they had previous to 2020 — is so good that they do believe that this person has a credible fear for their life. So, it’s very alarming,” she said.

Watters questioned the FBI’s decision not to protect the source, and Luna responded, “You know, that’s a question we asked ourselves.”

She continued, “The FBI has moles within the FBI that are actively leaking information to the Biden family, specifically Hunter Biden. You know, it was brought to our attention that there was, I guess, a mole within the FBI by the name of ‘One-Eye’ that was updating Hunter on what was currently taking place.

“So it’s in my opinion that the FBI: one, is definitely not something that we trust as House oversight; but also, two, that they have an issue within their own institutions with accountability and leaks,” she continued.

The claims about “One-Eye” stem from Miranda Devine’s column for the New York Post about Hunter Biden.

Dr. Gal Luft, a former lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces, claimed earlier this year that he knew “One-Eye” before he was arrested in Cyprus for allegedly transporting firearms. A recent report, however, indicates that Luft skipped bond while awaiting extradition to the United States. Luft denies these allegations.

In order to silence him regarding his knowledge of the Bidens, Luft claims that the Department of Justice politically instigated his arrest. He claimed to have learned details from Hunter Biden’s Chinese business partners, Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, and he implied that they had paid the Bidens money in exchange for access to details about “One-Eye.” Luft added that he was made aware of the FBI’s inquiry into Ho and Ye.
