After Thursday’s vote, congressional committees will examine articles of impeachment against the incumbent president.
The House voted along party lines, 219-208, to advance the impeachment case against President Joe Biden.
According to the Associated Press, Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert spearheaded the impeachment articles.
According to the AP, Boebert’s motion to impeach Biden “caught Republicans off guard.”
The incumbent president has been accused with “high crimes and misdemeanors” based on Biden and his administration’s handling of the current border crisis.

Boebert termed the House resolution a “historic action,” but the Associated Press noted that neither of the two committees had a “obligation to act.”
Democrats, meanwhile, are complaining vehemently about everything.
