Biden Initiates Dangerous War…

A new report says that Joe Biden is finalizing plans to deploy U.S. forces as Russia poses itself to invade Ukraine. This comes at a time when the president faces backlash from Ukraine for pulling embassy personnel and considering deploying up to 50,000 American troops.

CNN reported Monday that several U.S. officials said the administration is in the process of deciding which armed forces to send to Eastern Europe in order to deter Russia and that they are preparing orders for deployment should they opt to deploy troops.

Biden was chastised by Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko on Monday for pulling out U.S. embassy employees and their families from Kyiv.

‘We have taken note of [the State Department]’s decision re departure of family members of [US Embassy in Kyiv] staff,’ Nikolenko posted on Twitter.

‘While we respect right (sic) of foreign nations to ensure safety & security of foreign nations to ensure safety & security of their diplomatic missions, we believe such a step to be a premature one & an instance of excessive caution.’

U.S. diplomats in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv were ordered Sunday to leave the country ‘due to the continued threat’ of Russian invasion, the State Department reported.

According to Nikolenko, the EU is not telling its employees to leave. Biden is still stinging from his failure to evacuate US citizens from Afghanistan swiftly enough.

As a countermeasure to a Russian military buildup that has sparked worries that Vladimir Putin is preparing to invade Ukraine, Biden may deploy up to 50,000 US troops, aircraft, and warships to eastern Europe.

NATO countries like Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia, which border Russian territory, would receive between 1,000 and 5,000 soldiers.

If the security situation deteriorates, the number of troops may be raised to 50,000, with further deployments of ships and aircraft.

In a summit held over the weekend at Camp David to discuss military options to deter an attack by Russia following the threat of sanctions that largely fell on deaf ears, Pentagon officials presented Biden with the plan.

It is thought that Biden is hesitant to enter another conflict following the disastrous withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan last year, The New York Times reports, adding that American troops would not be deployed directly to Ukraine.

A report by NBC News points out that Biden was also given the option of bomber flights over the region, ships entering the Black Sea, or bringing troops and equipment from other parts of Europe into Poland, Romania, and other neighboring countries.

It is expected that Biden will make a decision on military measures as soon as this week, according to the Times, even as high-level talks between Washington and Moscow continue – with the U.S. expected to deliver a written response to Russian security demands.

According to The Times, this represents a shift in Biden’s approach, claiming ‘the administration is now moving away from its do-not-provoke [Russia] strategy.’

Yet, the White House questions whether the report by the New York Times contains any new information, especially given what Biden said at a press conference last week: ‘We’re going to actually increase troop presence in Poland, in Romania, etc., if in fact, he moves.’

‘The president has publicly said that he’d deploy troops to Eastern Europe if the Russians invade so I don’t really get how the NYT story advances that?’ an official at the White House told Politico.

Additionally, the United States is already operating surveillance flights to track Russian troop movements and buildups, as Biden considers keeping special forces in Ukraine in case of a full-scale invasion.

Over the past few months, the Air Force has remotely monitored Russian ground commanders’ communications by flying electronic-eavesdropping planes like the RC-135 Rivet Joint over Ukraine, the Times reported. Moreover, the Air Force is performing ground surveillance flights with E-8 JSTARS to monitor Russian troop movements near the Ukrainian border.

It is intended to identify any indication that Russia is considering deploying nuclear weapons along its border with Ukraine, a possibility that Russian officials have already warned about.

Approximately 4,000 U.S. troops are stationed in Poland at present, according to Poland’s defense ministry.

Over 150 U.S. military advisers are currently in Ukraine and have been operating at a training field near Lviv for many years. A large part of the team is made up of Special Operations forces, mostly Green Berets of the Army, as well as trainers from Florida’s 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team.

According to a U.S. official, even though the U.S. plans to remove its military trainers from Ukraine as quickly as possible in the event of a full-out Russian invasion, it may also remain to advise Kyiv officials and provide frontline support.

Moscow has announced new live-fire drills for February off the coast of Ireland. Up to 140 ships will take part in the exercises, which will take place in four seas, including the Pacific and Atlantic.

US diplomats assigned to Ukraine have been ordered to leave as the Pentagon warns of an imminent invasion.

A route out of the country was offered to staff who are not essential to the mission, due to “increased threats of Russian military action”.
