Biden’s Fast-Food Photo Op Backfires When Inconvenient Detail on Menu Gets in the Way

“Bidenomics,” the policy platform advocated by the Biden administration with the intention of bettering the lives of middle-class and working-class citizens, has recently suffered a severe setback. Recent surveys indicate that the majority of American households continue to experience economic hardship, as reported by The Hill.

According to a survey conducted by Lending Club in August, more than sixty percent of Americans, including forty-five percent of those earning over $100,000 annually, live paycheck to paycheck, as reported by The Hill.

The Daily Mail reports that on Thursday, President Joe Biden made an unusual appearance on the campaign trail by stopping impromptu at a Cook Out restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he ate a burger and milkshake.

Sadly for the president, even this frivolous undertaking was not exempt from the repercussions of Bidenomics.

Biden’s remarks regarding the connection of rural communities to broadband internet, drawing a parallel to FDR’s rural electrification initiatives, prompted the pit halt. His aspiration to be “a president for all of America” was emphasized.

A bacon cheeseburger with potatoes and a “triple thick” chocolate and vanilla milkshake were the items that the president ordered.

However, Senator Phil Berger of North Carolina noticed one inconvenient aspect of the photo opportunity.

Berger published an image of Biden at the identical fast-food establishment three years prior, with an emphasis on the menu prices that were prominently showcased on the rear wall.

It is evident that Biden’s staff failed to notice this demonstration of Bidenomics in action that occurred directly behind the president.

The earlier image was captured while Biden was in Durham campaigning for the 2020 presidential election on October 18, 2020.

The background menu of the 2020 photograph displayed the cost of a Cookout tray at that time, which was $5.99.

Newsweek reports that the photograph captured on Thursday depicted an almost identical menu at the same restaurant that is currently charging $7.69 for the Cookout tray.

“Thanks to #Bidenomics, a Cook Out tray costs 28% more than it did three years ago when Biden had his previous photo op,” Berger tweeted.

Other X social media users also chimed in.

“A $100 grocery shop in 2019 now costs $125.81. #Bidenomics,” one user wrote.

“This is epic,” another user tweeted. “Biden did a photo op at the same restaurant he ate at 3 years ago. Today’s menu clearly shows a 28% increase from 3 yrs ago. This hyperinflation was directly caused by Biden’s disastrous policies. Thank you Sen. Berger for noticing and posting this.”

“Celebrating that milkshake costing about 20% more than his last Cook Out visit!!!” another tweet read.

As reported by Newsweek, a January report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that year-over-year consumer prices increased by 3.4% in December, surpassing the 3.1 percent increase observed in November. The cost of food increased by 0.2% last month, with increases in dining out surpassing those observed during visits to the grocery store.

The president’s consumption of a milkshake and burger, which have become prohibitively expensive for many Americans due to price increases, might not be evoking the desired response from the administration.

A few words of counsel from Marie Antoinette might have been appropriate for the self-proclaimed “president of all America” had she been alive.
