Bill Maher Blasts Liberals Over New Florida Bill

Radical leftists are furious over a new bill in Florida that disallows teachers in Pre-K through third grade to educate young kids on sexual and gender ideology.

Of course, this is an absolute horror for liberals who apparently believe young children should be taught about sexual and gender issues without parent involvement. Liberals are mocking the bill by falsely labeling it the “Don’t Say Gay Bill.”

In a surprising statement, HBO comedian Bill Maher railed leftists on the issue. Watch the clip:

“It’s not like you’re not allowed to literally not say ‘gay,’” Maher pointed out in response to how liberals are unfairly calling the bill “Don’t Say Gay.”

“But they just don’t want teachers talking about it. They think it’s the province of parents,” Maher continued.

Maher noted how this legislation is a “reaction from Republicans who feel that there’s too much talk in lower grades.”

“I think it’s only — they’re talking about kindergarten to third grade,” Maher explained. “So we’re talking about very young kids who, you know, as always with this stuff, you know this. It’s not like there’s no kernel of truth in that maybe kids that young shouldn’t be thinking about sex at all.”

Joe Biden and most Democrats oppose the bill in Florida.

White House Press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that Biden views this bill and others like it as “a form of bullying.”

“A bill like this, that would discriminate against families, against kids, put these kids in the position of not getting the support they need at a time where that’s exactly what they need,” Psaki said.

“It’s discriminatory. It’s a form of bullying. It is horrific. I mean, the president has spoken to that,” Psaki added.

The bill is heading to Governor Ron DeSantis’ desk after it has already passed through the Florida legislature by receiving enough votes.

DeSantis has also already promised to sign the bill into law.

Disney also showed its true colors as it publicly involved itself in this ongoing political debate in Florida. Outraged Disney CEO Bob Chapek reportedly requested a phone call with DeSantis, which was granted. Things didn’t end well for Disney.

Here’s how the phone call between Disney and DeSantis went:

“Disney CEO Bob Chapek says he called Governor DeSantis this morning and conveyed his “disappointment” regarding the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill. He and Disney execs will meet with the Governor.”

“He adds that Disney is signing a statement opposing such legislation across US.”

DeSantis responded by blasting the “false media narrative” that Disney is pushing. The governor says he is open to having conversations with Disney or others in Florida as long as concerns are “grounded in facts.”
