The major story of the last week was the discovery of several classified documents in Joe Biden’s office and residence. The White House has stumbled over queries from the press on the documents and their discovery, with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre even refusing to respond.

When clarity began to emerge, it appeared that the confusion surrounding the documents discovered in Biden’s possession and the White House’s attempts to minimize the finding could not become more muddled.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday that the Biden Department of Justice and the White House had agreed to keep quiet about the appearance of these confidential materials. According to Nick Arama, there are still a few crucial jigsaw pieces missing from the documentary’s narrative:

This failure to be straight with the American people prevented Americans from finding out about Joe Biden’s actions before the midterm election. The White House also hasn’t explained why they had a personal attorney searching through Biden’s office at the Penn Biden Center, to begin with. That indicates something else we haven’t been told yet.

Red State’s commentary on the update:

It was a p.r. move, done in the best interests of Biden and his hangers-on, not the American people, apparently. Recall that Biden personal attorney and Special Counsel, Richard Sauber was the one who found “new” classified documents earlier this week.

Notice also the strident tone of Joe Biden’s responses to media questioning about the papers during the last day. He snapped at one reporter, saying it ‘quite frankly bugs’ him” that this is a topic for him to respond to.

With the publication of a new article on Friday by the New York Times, however, many of these previously disparate jigsaw pieces are beginning to come together. And there was a huge revelation to be extracted from the Recent York Times investigation, which I just became aware of after reading a new article by my colleague John Sexton at Hot Air. He identifies precisely who inside the White House public relations staff advocated for this gradual roll strategy, and it is a name well-known to seasoned political observers:

Today the NY Times published its take on the behind-the-scenes decisions about this potential scandal. The Times points to another top Biden adviser as one of the few people who were in-the-know from the start: Crisis PR specialist Anita Dunn.

The handful of advisers who were aware of the initial discovery on November 2 — six days before the midterm elections — gambled that without going public, they could convince the Justice Department that the matter was nothing more than a minor, good-faith error, unlike former President Donald J. Trump’s document hoarding at his Florida estate…

At least initially, the discussions were limited to the husband-and-wife team of Bob Bauer, the president’s top personal attorney, and Anita Dunn, a White House senior adviser; Mike Donilon, the president’s longtime confidant and speechwriter; Mr. Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens; Stuart F. Delery, the White House counsel; and Richard Sauber, the White House lawyer overseeing the response to investigations, according to people familiar with the matter.

Slay News then claimed that Republican Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) believes Biden’s escalating controversy is the result of an inside operation. Gaetz says that Democrats desire Biden’s departure so they may replace the president with someone else, such as the governor of California, Gavin Newsom. Gaetz continues, “Well, things in Washington aren’t always what they seem.”  “Consider this: It was Joe Biden’s Democrat personal lawyer that was rummaging around his stuff, looking for what? Evidence of a crime that his septuagenarian client committed nine years ago?

“And then he alerts the democratic staff at the White House that does the absolute worst thing you could possibly do; they sat on the information,” Goetz continues. “They should have diffused the matter and then inoculated themselves in the process. Then the moment this is leaked to CBS, you have the Democrat Biden Department of Justice appoint a Special Counsel.

“And now the big tell is that even Joe Biden’s strongest allies in the congress, like Senator Coons, are saying that they approve of the appointment of a special counsel to criminally investigate the president. Maybe the Deep State and a lot these Democrats have figured out that they’d rather roll with Gavin Newsom than Joe Biden.”

“The Republicans might not even have to help the Democrats take out their trash.”

Slay News noted statements that Biden said yesterday:

“I think you’re gonna find there’s nothing there. “I have no regrets. I’m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s no ‘there’ there. We found a handful of documents that were filed in the wrong place. We immediately turned them over to the National Archives and the Justice Department. We’re fully cooperating and looking forward to getting this resolved quickly.”
