An investigation into the scandalous revelations that Joe Biden and his son, the embattled Hunter Biden, had private access to top-secret classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president under Barack Obama, which were stashed at the Biden home and offices, was underway at Biden’s beach home on Wednesday.
“There is no warrant and Biden consented to the search, according to his attorney,” Fox News reported, adding more details:
FBI agents were sent to President Biden’s vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Wednesday to conduct a search for additional classified documents, the president’s attorney Bob Bauer said.
“Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware. Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate,” Bauer said in a statement.
“The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search,” he added.
Fox News reported:
Fox News has been informed by reliable sources that FBI agents are currently conducting a search on the premises. There is no justification.
FBI and Special Counsel Robert Hur remained silent.
Several sets of sensitive papers were apparently discovered at Biden’s apartment in Wilmington, Delaware, last month, prompting the Justice Department to consider a search of his Rehoboth Beach home.
FBI officials have examined Biden’s former offices at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., where a handful of sensitive materials were uncovered. The Biden team has consented to each search and is collaborating with the Justice Department to locate and give over all classified papers in Biden’s possession from his time as vice president, with the exception of a few during his tenure as a senator.
Up to this point, between 25 and 30 secret papers that were in Biden’s possession have been retrieved and turned over to the National Archives and the Justice Department.
Biden, like his predecessor Donald Trump, is being investigated by a special counsel for retaining secret documents.
The White House has consistently declined to comment on the contents and levels of classification of the secret data, instead stating that the documents “have been turned over to proper authorities and will be part of the ongoing investigation.” In vain, lawmakers have demanded more transparency on the contents of these records and have accused the Biden administration of “stonewalling” their attempts.
Mid-January, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre informed reporters that the search for additional papers had concluded. Then, on January 14 and 20, fresh records were discovered at Biden’s Wilmington house, and now his Rehoboth property has also been examined.
Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Kentucky, told Fox News that “nothing that Joe Biden’s done with respect to mishandling these classified documents is normal.”
MSNBC confirmed the story reporting:
“According to three sources familiar with this matter. FBI agents, as we speak, are searching President Biden’s. Rehoboth Beach home for classified documents. This happens after there has been a discovery of a number of batches of documents at his Think Tank here in Washington and also at his home in Wilmington Delaware.”

The Guardian published further information, including remarks from Biden’s personal attorneys:
His Delaware residence was searched as part of an inquiry into his possession of secret documents, according to his attorney.
“Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware,” Bob Bauer said in a statement. “Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate. The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search.”
Last month, Biden let investigators to conduct an unusual search of his house in Wilmington, Delaware, one of two places where previously discovered classified papers had been discovered. In November, he also authorized the FBI to examine his previous office in Washington, DC, where the documents were initially discovered.
In total, between 25 and 30 secret documents from Biden’s time as senator and vice president were discovered by the FBI and Biden’s aides at the Wilmington and Washington, DC locations. Biden’s attorneys also conducted a search of his house in Rehoboth Beach, where he frequently spends holidays and weekends, but discovered no records. There is no evidence that the FBI has previously conducted a search.
