Multiple individuals were tragically shot on Saturday inside a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, according to the city’s mayor.

Mayor Donna Deegan told WJXT, “There are a number of fatalities” within the store, but she did not provide an exact number. Numerous police officers are present in the Edward Waters University neighborhood.

“This is unacceptable,” Deegan told the station. “One shooting is too much but these mass shootings are really hard to take.”
