Sara Lee, a former World Wrestling Entertainment star who won the 2015 reality series “Tough Enough,” has passed away. She was 30 years old.
According to CNN, her mother Teri Lee remarked, “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our Sarah Weston has gone to be with Jesus.”
“We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn,” she said.
Her reason of death remained unknown.
This week, in an Instagram post, Lee revealed she had been suffering from a sinus infection but had healed sufficiently to return to the gym.
Lee was married to Cory Weston, formerly known as Wesley Blake in WWE, according to the Midland Daily News in Lee’s home state of Michigan.
Friday, many others remembered her, including WWE referee Shawn Bennett, who called her “one of the sweetest people I’ve met” and provided a GoFundMe link to gather money for her family.
Heartbroken for the Weston Family. Sara Lee was one of the sweetest people I’ve met and her smile lit up a room. My love and hope for strength goes to Cory, and their three beautiful children.
