Monday’s shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, resulted in the death of the suspect, according to officials.
The Nashville Fire Department said through Twitter that there were “multiple patients,” although their situations were unclear at the time.
The shooting occurred at the Covenant School.
We are responding to an active aggressor at 33 Burton Hills Blvd Covenant School.
We can confirm we have multiple patients.

The shooter died after authorities “engaged” him, according to a Metro Nashville Police Department tweet.

It was initially unclear if the gunman committed suicide or was killed by authorities.

According to the school’s website, the Covenant School has had around 200 students from preschool through sixth grade in previous years.
In 2001, it was established as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
