Cameras Catch Telling Moment Between Cheney and Hutchinson Right After Hearing

Cassidy Hutchinson, a former adviser to Mark Meadows and White House Chief of Staff for President Trump on January 6, testified this week before the phony January 6th Committee.

Hutchinson was a “star” witness for the Democrats, offering hearsay “bombshells” that Trump fought Secret Service officials and attempted to take possession of the presidential vehicle known as “The Beast” so he could drive himself to the Capitol Building to join the demonstrators.

There was no cross-examination of the assertions made by Hutchinson. Indeed, all prosecutors make up the J6 committee. Nothing anyone says is ever tested for accuracy. Assumed to be true, the left-leaning MSM goes with it.

Liz Cheney, the Wyoming Republican serving as vice-chair of the Jan. 6 committee chaired by Democrats, was pictured hugging Cassidy Hutchinson immediately following her highly acrimonious speech.

In response to Cheney’s endorsement of Hutchinson, issues about the committee’s impartiality were raised.

Greta Van Susteren tweeted, “If questioner (Cheney) wants to appear fair to jury (American people), it probably is not a good idea to get caught on camera hugging the witness.”

Van Susteren stated, “Already people have very strong feelings – both ways – about this hearing and pics like this don’t help.” In her testimony on Tuesday, Hutchinson, who was called as a special witness by the committee, made a series of serious claims against former President Donald Trump and his response to the January 6, 2021, Capitol raid.

Joel Pollak, Senior Editor-at-Large for Breitbart News posted:

Right after she finished testifying, Cassidy Hutchinson and Liz Cheney rushed toward each other and embraced. I’ll stipulate that a congressional hearing is not a court of law, but the cuddly gesture did not exactly shore up the committee’s credibility.

Others on the social media media site weighed in.

Many of Hutchinson’s outrageous claims were rejected by those who had actual knowledge of what happened.

She based much of her testimony on hearsay and secondhand information she received from someone else rather than personal observation.

The most striking part of her testimony was when she claimed that Trump grabbed the steering wheel of the presidential limousine when he was told he could not go to the Capitol and then grabbed Secret Service agent Bobby Engel by the throat.

Engel subsequently stated that the encounter she described didn’t occur.

Conservative Brief reported that “Engel, the agent who was driving the presidential SUV, and Trump security official Tony Ornato both disputed Hutchin’s allegations and said they would testify under oath that no agent was assaulted and Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.”

A third official, former Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschmann, disputed Hutchinson’s claim that she wrote a note for Trump to read on January 6.

Herschmann said the note was written by him, not Hutchinson.

“The handwritten note that Cassidy Hutchinson testified was written by her was in fact written by Eric Herschmann on January 6, 2021,” a spokesperson for Herschmann said. “All sources with direct knowledge and law enforcement have and will confirm that it was written by Mr. Herschmann.”

While Hutchinson’s allegations have almost all been refuted, Cheney has stood by her.

In an interview with ABC’s “This Week” co-anchor Jonathan Karl, Cheney expressed confidence in Hutchinson’s testimony.

“She’s an incredibly brave young woman,” Cheney stated. “The committee is not going to stand by and watch her character be assassinated by anonymous sources and by men who are claiming executive privilege.”

“I think that what Cassidy Hutchinson did was an unbelievable example of bravery and of courage and patriotism in the face of real pressure,” Cheney, who is 30 points behind Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman in her Wyoming re-election bid, said.

Kari Donovan reported for Republic Brief that “Because there are no rules about participating in this ridiculous House Committee on Jan. 6th, none of the players have to tell the truth.”

On top of the fact that US Reps, like Adam Schiff, have already demonstrated that they will hide behind the Speech and Debate Clause of the US Constitution- to outright lie to the American people, claiming they are covered for that- and it is a special right they have.

It appears as if the RINO-Democrats are so anxious to smear Trump and his supporters that they are putting out the most easily discredited people to stab again at the end of our due process rights- with people testifying to things that are not true. We have people testifying to things that they did not even observe firsthand- and they are not ashamed to admit what they are saying is true is based on gossip.

This is pure persecution.

The lapdog media is gleefully putting out stories of an ‘Amber Heard drama’ for the left- who must be lamenting the end of daily soap operas to keep them occupied.
