Two admirers of Chiefs offensive lineman Nick Allegretti were adamant about getting in time to witness him play in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Sunday morning at 4 a.m., his wife, Christina Allegretti, gave birth to twin girls, according to a tweet by the editor and primary beat writer for Chief’s Digest, Matt Derrick.
Incredible day for Chiefs OL Nick Allegretti. His wife Christina gave birth to twins about 4 a.m. Sunday morning, and he finished the day with his second Super Bowl ring. “Best day of my life no matter what.”

In a brief video interview, Allegretti described the day he won the Super Bowl and became a dad on the same day was “incredible, cannot believe it” and made for the “best day of my life no matter what.”
The girls were expected to arrive in March at 4 pounds 15 ounces and 5 pounds 5 ounces. According to Derrick’s Twitter tweet, they are well but now in NICU.
It was a very monumental day for 26-year-old Allegretti, who also won his second Super Bowl ring, as he got many important accolades.
Tom Pelissero, a reporter for NFL Network, also weighed in on the news.
