Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) has introduced a resolution to expel Rep. Adam Schiff (D-California) from Congress, citing Schiff’s years-long allegations that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to manipulate the 2016 election.
This week, special counsel John Durham concluded in a stunning report that there was no basis for the FBI to investigate then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016 and beyond.
For years, prominent Democrats have used the FBI investigation into Trump’s campaign to denigrate him as a loyal Russian asset.
Schiff has utilized the perpetually dubious and now officially disproven claims for years to attack his political opponents and advance his standing among Democrats.
The California Democrat has been a staple on CNN and MSNBC for years, promoting ludicrous claims that Trump collaborated with Russian agents to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Wednesday night, Luna announced a resolution to expel him from the House for knowingly “lying.”
“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” the first-term Florida Republican said.
“He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman,” she said.
“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives.”
Luna claimed Schiff intentionally deceived the nation in order to sow discord.
“The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she concluded.
The representative tweeted a copy of the resolution.
“Knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for office,” she said. “Ethics should investigate.”

In his 300-page report on the Trump/Russia investigation, Durham stated that it should have never been authorized.
“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the [Department of Justice] and FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,” he said.

In his report, Durham added that rogue FBI agents initiated the investigation in poor faith and discovered “no evidence of collusion.”
The special counsel also determined that former FBI agent Peter Strzok harbored personal animosity toward President Trump prior to the initiation of the extensive investigation.
