Republican control of the US Senate is within arms reach, and a conservative result in a few races can make that happen. The state of Nevada, considered a “swing state” by political analysts will be a race to watch in November.

Conservative Brief reported that Last month, in a poll by Democratic Blueprint Polling former Republican Attorney General Adam Laxalt led Current Nevada Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto by seven points.
Laxalt tweeted his intention, “It’s official. I’m running for the United States Senate” and has been successful with fundraising as well as gaining the support of other Republicans as well as Democrats

Laxalt said that Cortex Masto has not broken with the Democratic Party on specific issues that Nevada voters do not support, resulting in her trailing position going into the November election.
“I think that’s why we’ve got such an amazing opportunity and such a great contrast with her. This is a pretty centrist state,” Laxalt said. “Our Hispanic community believes in the American dream, they came here for the American dream. they’re not signing up for a lot of this radical leftism that’s being pushed on by the Democratic Party.”
“There’s no question every single month, there have been more Democrats converting to Republicans than vice versa,” Laxalt added.
“She certainly has an advantage as an incumbent, on campaign fundraising, and of course, she had a five-year head start,” he said of Democratic Sen. Cortez Masto.”
“She’s going to need it,” Laxalt continued. “They’re going to spend a lot of money trying to package her up and remake her. I don’t think it’s going to be effective. I don’t think all the money in the world is going to fix her actual record.”

A tweet by @VictorJoecks announced, “@AdamLxalt out with a new site hitting @SenCortezMasto for keeping her offices closed. In a state built largely on service, don’t expect Nevadans to be thrilled with Cortez Masto on this,” and “@CortezMaso shut down her offices and lied about it to save face. She doesn’t show up for Nevada families in need.”

Cortez Masto is also being accused of feigning concern over illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border, according to @BreitbartNews.
The New York Times reports that there are a “quarter of a million Latino voters” in Nevada and that Democrats are losing support among Hispanic voters nationwide, not just in Nevada.
Endorsements for Laxalt included a statement by former President Donald Trump “calling for him to defeat Cortez Masto, who he slammed as being a puppet for the far left” noted Conservative Brief.
“Adam Laxalt is running for Senate in Nevada to defeat Harry Reid’s, Chuck Schumer’s, and Nancy Pelosi’s handpicked successor, and win an America First majority in the U.S. Senate.
Adam is a Navy Veteran who served our nation bravely in Iraq. As a former Attorney General, he has always supported our Law Enforcement and kept our communities safe,” the statement by Trump reads.
“He fought valiantly against the Election Fraud, which took place in Nevada. He is strong on Secure Borders and defending America against the Radical Left. Adam had my Complete and Total Endorsement!,” the statement reads.
Laxalt raised $1.35 million in the last three months of 2021 after raising $1.4 million in the third quarter, The Nevada Independent reported.
Since Joe Biden only led in Nevada by 2 points in the 2020 presidential election and given Laxalt’s current seven-point lead, it is not surprising that the recent Cook Political Report rates the race between Laxalt and Cortez Masto as a “toss-up”.
Last year, National Review interviewed Laxalt issued a warning that “Democrats are trying to finish off the project of ‘reshaping America’ that failed in the Obama era. Laxalt then remarked,” I don’t think there’s anything to point to that says America was looking for a radical transformation in the election (2020 election).
“Right now, it seems like the wrong side is winning,” he says in the ad over videos showing events including Black Lives Matter protests, an Antifa march, and rioters smashing a window and burning a United States flag. Laxalt summed up the problem, “The radical left, rich elites, woke corporations, academia, Hollywood, the media: That’s your empire right there,” he stated.

Laxalt, 43, told The Washington Times that his goal is to “win the war of ideas” playing out in the country, including the need to shore up security at the polls.
“People are upset, and they still don’t have great confidence in our elections,” Laxalt said. “We need to do our best to try and add a few of those layers of security. like poll watchers, in the 2022 elections.”
Adam Laxalt served as the Attorney General for Nevada from 2015 to 2019 and is the son of former United States Senator Pete Dominici of New Mexico and grandson of former Nevada Governor and United States Senator Paul Laxalt.
