Few days remain until the midterm elections, and the integrity of voting around the country is at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Both sides have accused the other of attempting to cheat at the polls, and the Supreme Court will hear a dispute on the interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.
Moore v. Harper, an ongoing case before the U.S. Supreme Court, involves a “strict” reading of the U.S. Constitution in relation to the possibility of state legislatures influencing future election results.
Morris asserts that the conservative Supreme Court justices have agreed to hear Moore v. Harper. And this might result in many Democrats lashing out openly, since Republican-controlled state legislatures will certainly implement harsher voting enforcement rules in the United States.
If Moore v. Harper is decided in favor of the Republicans, “it will solve the problem” of preventing future voter/election fraud and “require states to listen to their Legislatures,” according to Dick Morris, presenter of the Newsmax program “Dick Morris Democracy.”
In addition to his opinions on the forthcoming SCOTUS case, Morris comments on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential ambitions, which she lost to Donald Trump. Since then, Clinton has claimed that she won the popular vote, and she would want to remove the Electoral College, the structure that prevents more populous states from dominating less densely populated states.
In a viral remark, potential presidential candidate Hillary Clinton criticizes the Supreme Court about the Moore vs. Harper case and other topics.
Dick Morris, best-selling author, TV broadcaster, and adviser to former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, offers a straightforward explanation for Hillary Clinton’s seemingly random outburst about “right-wing fanatics literally” plotting to “take” the 2024 presidential election.
Hillary Clinton will pursue the Democratic Party candidacy for 2024, according to Morris, regardless of President Joe Biden’s ultimate decision about his own plans. Biden has often stated that he intends to run for president, but he has also provided himself with a “out” by citing his age and the uncertainty of the future.
“By Hillary getting out here and saying this, it means she’s running for president,” Morris told Newsmax Tuesday afternoon, while appearing on “American Agenda” with hosts Bob Sellers and Katrina Szish.
Morris feels Clinton’s camp must wait until after the 2018 midterm elections (November 8) before making any public statements on 2024.
