Dick Van Dyke Bloodied in Malibu Car Crash – Police Filing Puts His Driver’s License in Jeopardy: Report

According to a recent story, legendary performer Dick Van Dyke was involved in a one-car accident last week in which he suffered nose and mouth bleeding and a possible concussion.

The Malibu collision occurred on March 15 in the morning, according to the celebrity news website TMZ. The report made no mention of a time.

Van Dyke was located in a 2018 Lexus that had collided with a fence when the police arrived.

According to TMZ, Van Dyke informed authorities that his vehicle skidded in the rain and he lost control of it before crashing into the fence.

According to the report, after receiving treatment at the scene, Van Dyke denied hospitalization. Afterwards, he was offered a ride home after the accident.

Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected in the crash, but according to TMZ, police have asked the Department of Motor Vehicles to evaluate if Van Dyke should continue driving.

The state of California provides a procedure for revoking the licenses of “potentially unsafe drivers” as a result of age-related impairments.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, the accident occurred over a decade after one in which Van Dyke’s automobile caught fire on a California motorway.

In the accident on August 19, 2013, Van Dyke was rescued from the flaming vehicle by a bystander.

People reports that Van Dyke just participated on the season premiere of “The Masked Singer.”

“I had never even seen the show when they asked me. So I checked it out and it looked like a lot of fun. I was positive they wouldn’t be able to guess who I was,” Van Dyke told the magazine. “And I was right!”

Van Dyke sang “When You’re Smiling” by Frank Sinatra, which he says was chosen by his wife, Arlene Silver.

“They wanted me to do something current and I know nothing from rock. So we picked out one which typifies me. She’s the one that came up with it and I liked the song, too,” he told People.

CNN reports that Van Dyke’s presence makes him the oldest participant to ever participate on the show.
