Once again, the public is being “warned” about upswings in cases of Coronavirus, as the virus continues to do what viruses do…. mutate and reappear as seasonal changes in weather and gathering habits occur. These “warnings” have to be questioned, as not only are they unprecedented in the face of obvious factors, but they are coinciding with elections and political motives.

The latest “warning” includes the word “surge” which seems dire, except that one can consider the vacation habits of Americans as well as the timing for schoolchildren to return to education facilities. So, when one also notes the dates of upcoming local and midterm elections, it poses the question, how political is this?
The Western Journal reported that Dr. Deborah Birx, best known for her role as the coordinator of the White House coronavirus task force during the Trump administration, joined Margaret Brennan, the host of CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday to tout her new book, “Silent Invasion: The Untold Story of the Trump Administration.”
‘While it’s labeled on Amazon as the No. 1 best-selling book in epidemiology, it doesn’t appear to be flying off the virtual shelves. As of Tuesday afternoon EDT, there were only nine reviews,’ the Western Journal added.
During the interview, Birx warned that “Americans should prepare for a potential surge in COVID-19 this summer, particularly ‘across the southern United States.’”
She told host Margaret Brennan: “If you look at what we’ve been through, we went through a mini alpha variant surge in the same locations last year at this time. Then we went into that lull of May, where everybody thought it was over, and in middle of June, and then we had the predictable surge across the South.”
“We should be preparing right now for a potential surge in the summer across the southern United States because we saw it in 2020 and we saw it in 2021,” she warned.
As most people know, a public school in most areas is over in May or June, and families start taking vacations at that time. the U.S. southern region is an extremely popular vacation destination during those months, both for Americans and nationally.
Birx insists that global data is important, and as far as “global data”, Birx is using data from South Africa because she says, “They’re good about testing. They’re good about sequencing and finding their variants.”
“They’re on an upslope again,” she said. “Each of these surges are about four to six months apart. That tells me that natural immunity wanes enough in the general population after four to six months that a significant surge is going to occur again. And this is what we have to be prepared for in this country.”
Another warning has come from Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who predicted we would see a COVID surge in the fall. Birx and Fauci were peers on the Trump Administration task force concerning the virus.
In April Fauci stated, “I would think that we should expect that we are going to see some increase in cases as you get to the colder weather in the fall.”
Normal time for the appearance of viruses.
Western Journal reported that during the interview, Brennan commented on Birx’ presence at Saturday night’s White House correspondents’ dinner. The highly partisan physician and diplomat had attended as a guest of CBS News.
One of the few attendees to wear a mask at the event, she explained: “There were probably, just by odds and science, probably 15 to 20 people infected, even though everyone was tested in the morning or within 24 hours. And so I just always know and then I keep testing. So I’ll test every day for five days after an exposure. And I consider that an exposure. I tested this morning because I knew I was going to see you in person, unmasked.”
Fauci, Biden’s chief medical adviser, opted to skip the event over COVID fears, Western Journal also noted. He did, however, attend at least one pre-party where he was photographed indoors with his pal Don Lemon and several others, sans mask.

We have seen the political use, especially in Democratic-led states, of Covid-19 and its variants regarding masks, lockdowns, the push for mail in ballots, and government control over the lives of Americans, and now citizens are taking warnings with a grain of salt.

It does not seem that the fearmongers are providing ample data to back up their suppositions, and are not taking their own advice regarding precautions.
It does seem, however, that the “warnings” are coinciding with the crucial midterm elections and the procedures that will be called for in those elections due to the seasonal and situational rise in Coronavirus variant cases, either in the U.S. or internationally.
As Fauci stated in April,” I would not be surprised if we see an uptick in cases. Whether that uptick becomes a surge where there are a lot more cases is difficult to predict.”
