Does Biden Even Care That Americans Want ALL Candidates Considered, Not Just Black Women?

During his 2020 campaign, Joe Biden promised his voters that he would put the first black woman on the Supreme Court. He reiterated that pledge when he recently said,

“I’ve made no decision except (the) person I will nominate will be someone with extraordinary qualifications, character, experience and integrity. And that person will be the first Black woman ever nominated to the United States Supreme Court.”

First and foremost, he already knows it will be a black woman. The first black woman even nominated. That’s his number one discriminating qualification in this situation, which he also stated is “long overdue.”

Which is weird, actually, because, as it turns out, he has a history of opposing the nomination of qualified black women to federal judiciary positions. Janice Rogers Brown was nominated twice, in 2003 and 2005, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which position is often a precursor to Supreme Court appointment. And Joe Biden himself filibustered and twice voted against her appointment.

You read that right. He used the filibuster, which is now considered some all-powerful weapon of racism and white supremacy (but only when used by Republican politicians) to block the appointment of a black woman to higher federal court. But, knowing Biden, he has probably forgotten.

He actually said of the situation, “race and gender, they only count if you’re thought to be a committed judicial activist, judicial leftist.”

Hilarious, considering that we are now being told that he will nominate a justice based not primarily on their qualifications or judicial integrity, but based on the color of their skin and genitals. Excuse me, gender. Because there’s no guarantee these days that one’s genitals will match one’s gender. And how phobic of me to insinuate that genitals and genders matching should be an assumption. But I digress…

As it turns out, a new ABC poll shows that 76% of Americans want President Biden to consider “all possible nominees” for the vacant SCOTUS position, and not just the black women.

Wait, are you telling me that the majority of Americans actually want ALL qualified SCOTUS candidates to be considered and don’t believe in selecting a person for a position based solely on their race and gender?

Mind. Blown.

Just kidding. That makes perfect sense. Especially because it actually sounds pretty racist to say that you are going to discriminate against all other qualified candidates in favor of one who has a particular skin color and gender. And no matter how much radical leftist scream about it, Americans are actually not all that racist.
