Durham Slams FBI Over Lack of Corroboration of Steele Dossier Used for FISA Warrant

Published on

The FBI lied about the veracity of the bombastic and ludicrous Steel Dossier or the infamous “pee-pee recordings,” which sparked a movement of radical Marxist activists and organizers to collaborate with government agencies and corporate lapdog media to topple a legitimately elected President. It all began with a completely fabricated tale. According to the most recent action by Special Counsel, Attorney John Durham, this is true.

This article is about how the FBI allowed its legal procedures to become entirely corrupted – in a situation where the end justified the means – and how the national security agency used rumors to establish legal justifications for eavesdropping on innocent Americans.

The most recent discoveries emanate from the prosecution of Igor Danchenko and come at a time when the majority of Americans have lost trust in the FBI due to a string of hoaxes and highly political and unlawful raids and arrests by the agency.

Fox News provided detailed coverage of the development.

“Durham hammers FBI over lack of corroboration of Steele dossier used for FISA warrant. Neither the FBI nor any other intelligence agencies had corroboration for allegations included in the Steele dossier, an FBI official testified,” Fox reported, adding:

Neither the FBI nor any other intelligence agency had any corroboration for allegations included in the anti-Trump dossier that was used to justify the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant and its renewals to monitor Trump campaign aide Carter Page, an FBI official testified on the second day of the Igor Danchenko trial.

Special Counsel John Durham, who has been investigating the origins of the Trump-Russia probe since 2019, led questioning of FBI supervisory counterintelligence analyst Brian Auten on Tuesday, the first day of the trial, and continued on Wednesday.

The timeline of the dossier, which began as a story being pitched, was picked up by Hillary Clinton’s Democrat campaign to be used to smear Trump ahead of the 2016 election, and then recycled as a clarion call for the coating of usurpers to unseat Trump, then to divide the country, and finally to help destroy the integrity of our judicial system.

Fox News claimed that Auten was the first witness in the trial of Danchenko, “the Russian national who functioned as the key sub-source for Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier and who has been charged with five counts of making false statements to the agency.”

Auten repeatedly denied that the FBI had any means to confirm the lurid accusations included in the dossier against Trump and his campaign allies.

Durham blasted Auten on Wednesday, wondering why he included unverified evidence from the dossier in the FISA order for Page.

Auten testified, “As an analyst, I’m not writing the application.”

Durham persisted, stating, “You and your colleagues took the information…and put it in the Carter Page FISA application.”

“You didn’t have corroboration from FBI databases, from other intelligence community agencies, or from Christopher Steele and it still went into a FISA application?” Durham asked.

“Correct,” Auten testified.

Fox reported:

The back-and-forth came after Auten’s testimony on Tuesday, when he revealed that he and a group of FBI agents went overseas in early October 2021 to speak with Steele about the dossier.

Auten said that during an overseas meeting, the FBI offered Steele $1 million if he could corroborate allegations in the dossier. Auten testified that Steele could not do so. CONTINUE READING…
