Since Elon Musk has taken his stand for free speech by buying Twitter and removing the censorship initiatives the platform had put in place, liberals have been leaving Twitter but conservatives and lovers of free speech have been returning in droves. It seems humor and word play is making a comeback, with the threat of being blocked by the platform being removed.

No one seems to be having more fun with this than Elon.
Musk tweeted on Thursday showing a stick figure drawing comparing himself in 2008, 2012, and 2021, showing his move toward the political right without moving.
The drawing depicted a liberal-to-conservative timeline in which the liberal stick figure on the left is running to the left, stretching the timeline farther and farther left. Musk starts out in 2008 in the middle, slightly left of center, with the caption,” my fellow liberal.”
In the 2012 drawing, Musk is in the same place on the line but the liberal left side of the line has been extended much farther putting Musk closer to center with the caption,” my fellow liberal?”
Finally, in the 2021 drawing, as the left line continues to move farther away Musk is now to the right of the center and the stick figure on the left (“woke’) is calling Musk a “bigot”.
Rather than applaud the return to free speech in one social media platform and spend her time addressing actual political issues like the war in Ukraine, the U.S. southern border or the current economic situation in her country, on Friday New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez cattily tweeted a comment:
“Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” she said.
Musk responded perfectly with a simple, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy,” adding a blushing emoji to his comment.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez snapped back with “I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” and then proceeded to delete the tweet.
Interestingly, it is highly unlikely that Ocasio-Cortez was in fact talking about Zuckerberg since there is no known Zuckerberg dinner with Carlson and Theil.
Musk’s humorous tweet to Ocasio-Cortez is probably grounded in a previous exchange between the two when Musk tweeted,
“The far left hates everyone, including themselves!” followed by a tweet about the far right that was milder, “I strongly supported Obama for President, but today’s Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists.”
On Friday Ocasio-Cortez had responded to those tweets with:
“Billionaires be like ‘the extreme far left is taking over’ when the ‘extreme far left’ in the US is ‘medicine shouldn’t bankrupt you,’ ‘ wages should cover rent,’ & ‘maybe it’s bad that Wall St companies profit off mass surveillance, manufactured housing crises, and caging people,’” she said.
And “The number of billionaires in the US couldn’t even fill an apartment building, but the number of people they negatively impact is only growing. All the US billionaire votes combined couldn’t even come in 2nd for an NY city council election. That’s why they stay pressed.”
The reference to flirting goes back to comments made by Ocasio-Cortez when she accused conservatives in a tweet of wanting to date her after they criticized her for going to Florida and not wearing a mask in some photos.
“1. If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL. 2. Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals. O for 2…,” Steve Cortes said with a photo of the representative and her boyfriend, which drew the ire of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez in December.
“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos,” she said in response to his tweet.
Who knew free speech could be so much fun?
IN regard to free speech, Musk has said he disagrees with censorship and bans Twitter currently levies on users who post what it deems ‘harmful content’ or misinformation.

Musk also says rather than banning speakers from the social media platform, he favors ‘time outs’ for rule-breakers.
He also tweeted other opinions, such as his disapproval of Twitter’s $17m-a-year lawyer Vijaya Gadde, blasting her for censoring the New York Post’s October 2020 exclusive about Hunter Biden’s laptop. the contents of the laptop, initially labelled as “misinformation” have now been authenticated and are exposing major events and collaborations.
In addition to liberal Twitter users stating that they will leave the media, liberal Twitter employees are complaining wildly, vowing to quit the platform when Musk takes over in around six months – although the tycoon is likely planning widespread staff cuts to boost profitability anyway.
