A high-ranking FBI agent has made a significant allegation about Twitter censorship that could have altered the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
In October 2020, just weeks before Joe Biden defeated then-President Donald Trump, the New York Post published the first of several articles about Hunter Biden’s laptop and his father’s alleged business dealings with the Ukrainian gas company Burisma while he was vice president.
Twitter, however, prevented the Post from sharing its scandal-related articles on the social media platform, citing allegations that they were “Russian disinformation.”
The majority of the American public was largely unaware of the corruption allegations that emerged from the laptop’s contents when Biden declared victory over Trump.
Now, according to a new report, an FBI official verified the laptop’s authenticity to Twitter on the same day the Post published its initial report.
The New York Post reported on Thursday that Laura Dehmlow, section commander of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force, made this claim during Monday’s closed-door deposition testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
“Somebody from Twitter essentially asked whether the laptop was real. And one of the FBI folks who was on the call did confirm that, ‘yes, it was,’ before another participant jumped in and said, ‘no further comment,’” Dehmlow said.
This conversation between Twitter and the FBI occurred on October 14, 2020, just hours after the Washington Post published the first laptop article on its website, according to a report citing a Republican Judiciary Committee press release.
This would indicate Twitter knew the laptop allegations were accurate but chose to censor them nonetheless.
If this is the case, this can only be referred to as election interference.
Many people have stated that they would have voted differently in the election if they had known about the Hunter Biden laptop incident and the allegations against the Biden family.
17 percent of Biden voters, according to a poll published on November 24, 2020, would have voted differently if they had this information.
If Twitter had not censored the article, it is conceivable that Trump would have won re-election.
It appears that Twitter, under the leadership of Jack Dorsey at the time, hushed up the story in an effort to assist the Biden campaign win the election.
A company that controls the majority of the online information flow has censored a story that could be damaging to a certain candidate, despite knowing that it is true.
The bad news for Biden is that Twitter is now owned by Elon Musk, an advocate for the free flow of information, and there is no censorship of reports alleging that Ukrainian industrialists admitted to sending illicit payments to the president and his son, according to an FBI informant document.
For years, the Bidens have been able to escape this projectile, but that may soon change.
