According to a recent poll, Democratic freshman Senator John Fetterman is rapidly losing support in his native state of Pennsylvania and is now nearly as reviled as Vice President Joe Biden.
Due to a catastrophic stroke he suffered while campaigning in May 2022, Fetterman has struggled to get through public events and Senate hearings on a consistent basis, fumbling over his words and occasionally appearing disoriented.
“According to a Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday, half of Keystone State voters disapprove of Fetterman’s job handling, while only 39% approve. President Biden, a Scranton native, has a worse approval rating in the state, with 57% of Pennsylvanians disapproving of his job handling as president, while 39% approve,” Fox News reported.
“Voters view Fetterman much worse than his fellow statewide Democrats, the poll shows. Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro garners a 57% job approval rating, while 23% disapprove. Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, meanwhile, also earns good marks from voters, with 44% approval and 32% who disapprove of the job he’s doing in office. The remaining percentages for each politician reflect individuals who did not offer an opinion,” the news source reported.
Since assuming office, Fetterman has encountered difficulties during Senate hearings and public events, as his stroke-related disabilities have rendered his communication incomprehensible to some. His administration has consistently reprimanded those who draw attention to the problems, claiming that he functions ordinarily with the exception of anomalous auditory processing.
When Washington Post economics reporter Jeff Stein acknowledged in May that he had exaggerated a misquote from Fetterman’s office, the controversy surrounding Fetterman intensified. In addition, Fox News Digital has previously reported that Fetterman’s office has made numerous covert but substantial alterations to the transcripts of the senator’s remarks, ostensibly to improve his coherence.
Mitten April, Fetterman returned to Congress after receiving treatment for severe depression at a facility in the Washington, D.C. area for several weeks. Videos and images of his appearance quickly went viral, heightening Republicans’ concerns.
Fox News reported at the time that during one of his infrequent Capitol visits since taking office in January, the Pennsylvania Democrat arrived in a black windbreaker and shorts after undergoing six weeks of therapy. As he entered the facility, he refused to answer any queries from reporters.
“It’s great to be back. Thank you,” he repeated several times as he entered the building.

When Fetterman arrived and showed up, several conservatives reacted.
“Welcome back to John Fetterman, further proof that cognition, speech comprehension, emotional balance, and even showing up for work are no longer necessary for a career in Democrat politics!” Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk noted. CONTINUE READING…
