Jentleson, the chief of staff for Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), prevented Stephen L. Miller, nicknamed redsteeze, from questioning Fetterman why he is supporting legislation while hospitalized and under the care of a physician. Fetterman has been detained incommunicado at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD for almost two weeks as he receives treatment for mental depression.
Jentleson states on his Twitter page, in reference to his position as deputy chief of staff to the late Senator Reid, that he is “Reid mafia for life” (D-NV). Jentleson claimed that he was a “go-to source for reporters” in his bio for a book presentation about the Senate he gave last year, written between working for Reid and Fetterman.
Adam Jentleson is a veteran of presidential campaigns and served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Senator Harry Reid until Reid retired in 2017. In his capacity with Reid, he was a senior advisor on political, legislative and communications strategy through the fights of the Obama years. He is a go-to source for reporters, activists and Congressional staff, along with members of Congress, for creative approaches to legislative strategy. He has been cited as an authority by every major national American news outlet and several international ones. In addition to The New York Times, Jentleson’s writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Politico, and GQ. Jentleson is the author of Kill Switch: The Rise of the Modern Senate and the Crippling of American Democracy. Jentleson’s work has been cited as influencing the debate over reforming the filibuster in the Senate and motivating Democrats to be aggressive.
Due to Fetterman’s protracted absence for what is generally a brief hospital stay of a few days to a week, as well as the lack of photographic or video evidence of his life or health, rumors are prevalent that his illness is more serious than his staff is letting on.
According to a report issued by the Senate on Wednesday, Fetterman and three other senators whose states, Ohio and Pennsylvania, were touched by the hazardous train crash in East Palestine, Ohio a month ago co-sponsored a measure addressing railway safety. The group consists of Senators Bob Casey (D-PA), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), and J.D. Vance (R-OH), as well as Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Josh Hawley (R-MO).
Thursday at 1:46 a.m. EST, Stephen L. Miller questioned Adam Jentleson about Fetterman’s co-sponsorship of the measure. After two minutes, Jentleson had blocked him (who blocks people at almost two in the morning for politely asking about their boss?):
“Adam, who is co-signing and introducing Senate legislation from Senator Fetterman’s office while he himself is currently hospitalized and under current medical observation?”

Miller had cited Jentleson’s Twitter message about how ‘ugly’ conservatives were acting to his supervisor by Tuesday evening.
“There has been an uptick in ugliness from the right but as a window into how disconnected that junk is, and to give a sense of what is motivating those who bother to pick up the phone, this remains true: The top topic of calls to our office has been will wishes, every single day.” CONTINUE READING…
