Robert F. Kennedy Jr. declared his candidacy for president before a crowded audience at the Plaza Hotel in Boston.
In the beginning of his speech, Kennedy urged Americans to unite as they did in the 1770s and stand up to “the corrupt merger of state and corporate power.”

After proclaiming his candidacy, Kennedy delivered an impassioned speech about how his father Robert F. Kennedy was able to reconcile the nation in 1968 despite being shunned by the DNC and other major Democrat power brokers.
Later in his speech, Kennedy exposed the Industrial Military Complex and stated that his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, discovered after the Bay of Pigs that “the function of intelligence agencies had become to provide the military industrial complex with a constant pipeline of war.”
Robert Kennedy Jr. continued to assert that following the Bay of Pigs debacle, President Kennedy proclaimed, “I want to take the CIA and shatter it into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the wind.”
