Fox News’ ratings have plummeted since the termination of Tucker Carlson, a conservative commentator.
Sean Hannity of Fox News has also taken a blow since Tucker Carlson’s dismissal, despite not directly replacing the conservative provocateur.
According to TV Newser, Rachel Maddow surpassed Hannity in the 9 p.m. news program time slot during the week of July 10, with over 2.4 million viewers compared to 1.95 million for the conservative anchor.
The average number of views for the Fox News host has decreased from nearly 2 million in June to an average of 1.7 million so far in July.
Since March 2022, Hannity’s prime-time program has averaged three million viewers per night.
Fox News ultimately regained its footing after receiving such discouraging information.
Fox News averaged more than 1.4 million prime-time viewers during the week of July 10, according to TV Newser, despite the Independence Day holiday’s negative impact on ratings.
This development signified a 21 percent increase from the previous week, as reported by TV News.
Fox News has finished in first place for the 28th consecutive week in terms of total ratings. However, the outlet has steadily declined in almost every demographic.
According to TV Newser, Fox News lost 32% of its prime-time viewers, 58% of its primetime demographic viewers, 21% of its daytime viewers, and 41% of its total day demographic viewers compared to the week of July 11, 2022.
Similarly, MSNBC has been devastated by a precipitous decline in viewership.
Annually, the network lost 20 percent of its prime-time demographic viewers, 11 percent of its total day viewers, and 19 percent of its total day demographic viewers compared to the week of July 11, 2022.
