Fox News Host Delivers Emotional Message Live On Air

Ken Griffin, a millionaire, declared in June that he would be relocating his hedge fund business Citadel out of Chicago due to rising crime rates.

“If people aren’t safe here, they’re not going to live here,” Griffin told the Wall Street Journal in April. “I’ve had multiple colleagues mugged at gunpoint. I’ve had a colleague stabbed on the way to work. Countless issues of burglary. I mean, that’s a really difficult backdrop with which to draw talent to your city from.”

According to Rabine, Citadel’s downtown location and the rampant violence there are certainly impeding the company’s ability to acquire and retain talent.

The growing crime rate in Chicago has prompted other businesses to flee from the city.

Caterpillar said in June that it will transfer its headquarters from Deerfield, Illinois to Irving, Texas, close to Dallas.

Everyone is affected by crime. You cannot predict when you may become a victim.

In response to the murder of his colleague’s younger brother, a prominent Fox News anchor attacked two Chicago politicians.

Gianno Caldwell, a renowned political commentator for Fox News, revealed at the end of June that his younger brother had been murdered in Chicago.

Since joining Fox News in 2017, Caldwell has been on many of the network’s most popular programs.

The news was announced on Twitter.

“Yesterday was the worst day of my existence,” Caldwell said. “I received a call informing me that my teenage baby brother was murdered on the south side of Chicago. Never could I have imagined my baby brother’s life would be stolen from him. Please keep my family in your prayers.”

After the deadly shooting of his 18-year-old brother, he claimed to be seeking answers.

“What I’m looking for right now is details from the police to discover who it was that murdered my brother,” said Caldwell, who is originally from Chicago. “My baby brother never had a chance.”

Lawrence Jones, who often appears with Caldwell on the air, said Saturday that George Soros-financed Democratic State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and Lightfoot are in large part to blame.

“What’s going on in Chicago right now is unacceptable and everybody knows it. Families deserve answers and they deserve action,” he declared.

As he called out Lightfoot in particular, he added that those who should be solving the city’s problems ignore the bloodshed.

“Unfortunately, the city’s mayor, Lori Lightfoot, is preparing to flee the scene of the crime. Lightfoot is spending her city’s taxpayer funds to travel to London and Paris to promote the economic prosperity of her state. But the mayor doesn’t understand there is no pursuit of happiness without life.

“Meanwhile, the county D.A., Kim Foxx, may have a domestic violence case,” he added.

Due to the fact that Lightfoot and Foxx are black, Jones argued that race was not an issue.

“We are being let down by people that look like us, that say they care about us. But when we need a hero, they are nowhere to be found unless it’s election time. These kids that are being slaughtered every day won’t get the chance to vote. So the big question is: When will it end?” he exclaimed.

Jones interviewed Caldwell on Saturday, the day of his brother’s funeral, and he said his brother is not the only victim.

“My baby brother Christian didn’t deserve this. Not at all. But there are countless victims in Chicago who also don’t deserve this. Who, we don’t even know their names. I’m only here talking to you, and as much as I love you, brother, I would rather not be in front of this camera, right in front of the church that we’re going to bury my baby brother,” he stated.

“But I’m still praying. Believe in God for justice, because I know the guy that I serve is a God of justice, 100 percent.”

While Caldwell grieves, he continues to fight for the lives of those who haven’t been murdered yet.

“I want to say, for those who may want justice for their families as well. Keep fighting. The fight never ends until you get it. So keep fighting, keep persevering. Keep working towards that because there is hope. And I’m here knowing that there is hope and that there will be justice for my baby brother,” he proclaimed.

“Knowing that my baby brother Christian was murdered, and certainly not the intended target, is an injustice that we’re rallying against,” Caldwell added. “We’re also thinking about those who we don’t know their names. The hundreds of people who are murdered in Chicago on a yearly basis. Those folks deserve justice, as well.”

“The flame has been ignited in me to ensure that the people of Chicago — brothers and sisters who are losing their lives — have a voice, have a platform. And they can hear and be heard. The police say Christian was in the wrong place at the wrong time. How many [times] have we heard that story?”

During the recent Juneteenth holiday weekend, the Chicago Police Department reported 44 shootings with 61 injured victims from 6 p.m. on Friday until Monday across the city, according to the police department’s statistics. In addition, 10 people were killed over the extended weekend, according to the department.

Last month, data showed that the number of reported violent crimes in Chicago rose 35% compared to last year’s number during the same time period.
