The Fox News program “The Five” has gained remarkable popularity, rating far higher than other alternatives, even the cable news programs that the extreme far left openly watches and cites as their news and information sources.
The Five has become the most viewed cable news program, with an average of 3.33 million viewers for the week ending January 22nd, according to Nielsen data cited by Forbes.
“After The Five, the highest-rated shows of the week were Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.086 million viewers), Jesse Watters Primetime (2.647 million viewers), Hannity (2.386 million viewers), and Special Report with Bret Baier (2.367 million viewers)—all airing on the Fox News Channel,” the report said.
Forbes reported: “In prime time, Fox News led the cable news networks with an average total audience of 1.996 million viewers—beating CNN and MSNBC combined. Overall, Fox had fully 92 of the 100 highest-rated cable news telecasts for the week. Among viewers 25-54, the demographic group most valued by advertisers, Tucker Carlson Tonight was first with 442,000 viewers, followed by The Five (374,000 viewers), Hannity (303,000 viewers), Jesse Watters Primetime (266,000 viewers) and Special Report with Bret Baier (256,000 viewers).”
And its morning show, “Fox & Friends,” dominated the competition with 1.260 million people, while “Morning Joe” on MSNBC averaged 760,000 viewers and “CNN This Morning” had its lowest week with 331,000 viewers.
And “Gutfeld” continued to dominate its competition with 2.010 million viewers, surpassing “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC, which averaged 1.819 million viewers, and Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” on NBC, which averaged 1.278 million viewers.
Nielsen Media Research revealed that his Fox News program “Gutfeld!” had dominated late-night television with an average of 2.1 million viewers until 2022, as reported by the Washington Times.
“The size of that viewing audience bests both NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’ and ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and also consistently trumps such cable rivals as Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show’ and HBO’s ‘Last Week Tonight’ and ‘Real Time With Bill Maher,’” the report said.
Vox, known to be more of a liberal news organization, opined that “The biggest comedy show on late-night right now is not on ABC or NBC or CBS or Fox. It’s not on Comedy Central. It’s certainly not streaming. It’s on Fox News, and its name is ‘Gutfeld!’”
CNN is apparently developing its own late-night program to compete with Gutfeld, and is evaluating more progressive candidates for the position.
“Brass at the famously progressive news network have reportedly floated names such as Bill Maher, Trevor Noah, Arsenio Hall, and Jon Stewart, as candidates, to offer a nontraditional, late-night-esque take on the day’s news. Fox News has found success with ‘Gutfeld!,’ the late-night comedy show hosted by Greg Gutfeld,” the Daily Mail said.
Nielsen stated that Gutfeld has been a ratings champion for Fox News, with his co-hosted program “The Five” being the most popular cable news program.
Gutfeld stated that people are weary of “human sh*t” on their porches after a viral video of a man blasting a homeless lady in San Francisco, California with a water hose went viral last week.
Carmine Sabia reported for Conservative Brief and provided further information:
During a part of the famous Fox News program “The Five” last week, the panel addressed a video that went viral on social media showing an antique dealer spraying a woman with a water hose in front of his company. A spectator filmed a portion of the event and published it on social media, which garnered significant attention.
“I started recording the guy, and this guy is, like, pouring water on plants, and then I saw the lady like this, and I was, like, ‘Oh no, that’s a lady,’” the man who recorded the video said.

Sabia went on:
The co-hosts of “The Five” then discussed homelessness across the nation, which prompted Gutfeld to state that he has long advocated for “autonomous” areas where vagrancy is permitted.
“I would support this, it’s what I have been talking about for a while, an autonomous zone for people who wish to be homeless,” he said. “This is where you can go and practice this experimental lifestyle. And if you are back in the city panhandling, we will take you back there. Or we will get you help. But you are going to go back to that place because that’s where it is legal.”
Co-host Geraldo Rivera asked Gutfeld: “What do you think of that lady squirting the hose on the homeless lady?”
Gutfeld responded, “I think everybody is at the edge of their frustration. You can say, ‘My gosh, that’s heartless.’ Well, maybe that person gets up every day and sees human shit on his front door.”
