Fox News is incensed that videos of former host Tucker Carlson are going viral on the internet, but this anger is not directed at Carlson.
Media Matters for America is a generally left-leaning media watchdog organization.
Media Matters has been publishing behind-the-scenes videos of Carlson’s tenure at Fox News and labeling them “FOXLEAKS” on social media.
The intent of the videos is to cast Carlson in a negative light, but this strategy has largely failed.
The videos have, if anything, made Carlson appear more approachable, kind, and refreshingly sincere to his admirers.
Fox News wishes to put a stop to all of it, regardless of the motivations and intended outcomes of the FOXLEAKS.

On Friday, reporter Max Tani tweeted a screenshot of the legal letter Fox sent to MMFA, requesting that it cease publishing videos.
“We write on behalf of FOX Corporation to clarify any misunderstandings Media Matters may have had regarding previously unaired footage that Media Matters has published in a series of articles headlined ‘FOXLEAKS,’” the cease-and-desist letter states, addressing MMFA president and CEO Angelo Carusone.
