Sunday’s evacuation of the White House was precipitated by an eerie incident.
Fox News reported that Secret Service agents evacuated the executive residence following the discovery of a “unknown item on the White House complex” by agency representatives.
During the sensitive circumstance, the surrounding streets were closed to the general public.

The representative indicated that the situation necessitated the presence of hazmat personnel.
“As a precaution, the White House grounds were evacuated, and the D.C. Fire Departments Hazmat team responded.”
According to The Washington Post, two officials familiar with the investigation later affirmed that the unidentified substance was cocaine.

The result of emergency personnel’s analysis of a sample of the substance was a “yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride.”

According to The Hill, Vice President Joe Biden was not at the White House over the weekend, having left the residence for the presidential retreat at Camp David.
