In her tweet on New Year’s Eve, Hillary Clinton shared an old photo of herself. The photo is several years old – yet she says she is “looking ahead” to 2022.

The caption read: “Looking ahead to 2022. Wishing you a happy, healthy, and fabulous New Year.”

The surprising image she chose to share, was one that was posted in a 2016 montage of Hillary Clinton versus Donald Trump — a fluff piece for Hillary at the time she was running against him for President of the United States. It was published in 2016, almost six years old.

Hillary has resurfaced recently, namely with her ‘Masterclass’, where she read to acceptance speech she had prepared, but never got a chance to give that speech. Despite it being five years since the loss, it seems evident that she still hasn’t been able to come to grips with her stunning defeat and some suggest that she’s preparing for another run in 2024, having dropped several cryptic messages in the last several weeks — this tweet being the latest.

Jamie Carreiro’s 2016 fluff piece in favor of Hillary was titled, “The Making of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.” Carreiro subtitled the piece: “Hillary has spent the past five decades fighting for kids and families. Trump has spent five decades lining his own pockets. Shuffle through the years to see what each candidate has been up to since they began their careers.”

Not only is the photo of Hillary one of the only flattering on the Internet, which could have played a part in why she decided to unearth this image for her New Year’s Eve projection post, but the use of it having come from this piece could cause one to wonder if she’s trying to conjure up this propaganda again to help her cause should she choose to run against Trump again in the next presidential election.

“Created in the final months of the 2016 presidential campaign, ‘The Making of Hillary Clinton & Donald Trump’ is an online tool that shows you comparisons of what the two candidates were doing in any given year.”

“Simply press the ‘shuffle’ button and a random year will be selected. The tool then shows what both candidates were doing that year, highlighting the very different lives they’ve lived,” the intro to this pictorial piece read, then went on to include a series of side-by-side photo comparisons of their contributions to society, (or in the case of Trump, according to Carrerio, himself.)

Last week, Hillary Clinton warned the Democratic Party to keep a ‘clear eye’ on what wins elections – a tacit warning that its progressive wing could hand Republican victories in the midterms.

Willie Geist of MSNBC interviewed the former presidential candidate and she said Democrats need candidates who can win in purple states to make sure that Congress does its job.

Her remarks demonstrate the divisions within both parties, as centrists wrestle with the ideologies of those with fringe views and Twitter accounts that generate headlines.

The Democratic Party’s progressive wing includes Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.

‘I think that it is a time for some careful thinking about what wins elections, and not just in deep blue districts where a Democrat and a liberal Democrat or so-called progressive Democrat is going to win,’ said Clinton.

It was part of an interview she gave earlier this month, which was broadcast on Thursday.
