Tucker responded to the hosts of The View, which called for him to be investigated by the Department of Justice as a result of discussing the US government’s funding of Ukrainian biolabs.
As Carlson reflected on his Fox News show Monday night, he laughed off their remarks that he was ‘shilling’ for Putin and Whoopi Goldberg’s remark: ‘They used to arrest people for stuff like this.’
“Really?” he responded. ‘They used to arrest people for saying stuff like this.’ When did they arrest people for saying stuff like this, and who is they exactly?’
‘So we are at war with Russia! We must send you to the gulag because freedom!’ he chided.
‘Because a democracy, the one thing democracy doesn’t have patience for is dissenting views from its own citizens, particularly citizens who sincerely hope and pray for the best for their own country.’
Angry liberals are primarily pissed at Carlson because of his decision to highlight U.S. funding for Biolabs in Ukraine.

An official with the Department of Defense named Robert Pope in February cited a report that said those labs may use material that was once used as a source of Soviet-era bioweapons.
If the labs are damaged during combat and the material thaws, it might release the frozen material into the air with devastating consequences, Pope warned.
Reports such as that, and Carlson’s subsequent statements, have been used by Russian propagandists to claim that the United States is building biological weapons in the war-torn nation.
Carlson said: ‘The director of the U.S. Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, a man who would know a man called Robert Pope, has confirmed that scientists are keeping Soviet-era pathogens for research purposes in Ukraine.
‘They told us they were destroying them. They should have destroyed them, but they haven’t. What could go wrong in an active war zone? And they knew that those pathogens existed and were being experimented upon, researched.’
According to Pope’s bulletin from February, some of the biological material in question had previously been used for Soviet-era bioweapon programs, but Ukraine is no longer capable of developing such weapons.
In response to Pope’s warning, Carlson stated: ‘And they didn’t secure them before the Russians invaded, though they knew the Russian invasion was coming because they told us.
‘And then, Toria Nuland, the Under Secretary of State who oversees this disaster, testified under oath that, yes, Russian forces might seize those biolabs in Ukraine, and we should all be very worried about that possibility.
‘Over the weekend, CBS News reported that Pentagon officials have confirmed that these biolabs in Ukraine are, in fact, conducting research on anthrax and other “deadly pathogens.”
Russia’s state television has aired Carlson’s broadcasts, further enraging his liberal detractors.
As Carlson pointed out Monday night, he has been attacked by a long list of people including Mitt Romney, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, and Russian-American Washington Post columnist Max Boot.
His disdain was especially directed at the hosts and guests of the talk show The View, who asked the Department of Justice to investigate Carlson.
‘What Tucker Carlson parrots every night on Fox News, what Tulsi Gabbard is spreading, is actually helping Putin get away with criminal acts against civilians,’ stated Alyssa Farah, a former communications director for Trump’s White House and a frequent guest on The View.
Host Ana Navarro said, ‘I think the Department of Justice, in the same way it is setting up a task force to investigate oligarchs, should look into people who are Russian propagandists shilling for Putin.
‘If you are a foreign asset to a dictator, it should be investigated.
‘In fact, I remember when Tulsi Gabbard – and I even hate that we are discussing it because I think to myself who is this woman, – how do you not call out something that is repeating false Russian propaganda? And that has been brought down?’
Whoopi Goldberg, sounding a little like Trump except from the opposite side of the spectrum, chimed in: ‘They use to arrest people for doing stuff like this.’
A particular source of anger has come from Carlson’s citation of the United States’ Biolabs, which has been seized upon by Putin’s propagandists.
While the United States has confirmed that they are involved in labs for medical research where pathogens are stored, they denied that they had any facilities for making bioweapons.
Former presidential candidate and Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has questioned U.S. involvement in Ukraine, tweeting: ‘There are 25+ US-funded biolabs in Ukraine which if breached would release & spread deadly pathogens to US/world.
‘We must take action now to prevent disaster.
‘US/Russia/Ukraine/NATO/UN/EU must implement a ceasefire now around these labs until they’re secured & pathogens destroyed.’
Mitt Romney replied on Twitter: ‘Tulsi Gabbard is parroting false Russian propaganda. Her treasonous lies may well cost lives.’
Gabbard, a Democrat, and a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve, slammed Romney, saying that he should resign over his remarks.
Tulsi Gabbard went on Tucker Carlson’s show tonight and lamented the fact that journalists “keep getting away with” talking about the fact that she acts like a Russian asset. She says it’s a threat to democracy and calls for journalists to “be held accountable” and “exposed.” pic.twitter.com/WOYy9k1xvr
