In April, when Tucker Carlson was abruptly fired from Fox News, the topic de jour among conservative circles was what the conservative firebrand and ex-Fox anchor would do next.
Eventually, it was disclosed that the immensely popular Carlson would be producing a new “Tucker on Twitter” program, which has been an enthralling success by nearly every metric.

Despite the success of his Twitter program, it always felt like another shoe was about to drop, and according to a Puck News report, it will be a rather large shoe.
According to Puck News’ Dylan Byers, as reported by The Daily Caller: “In fact, I am told he is raising capital to launch a new company that may yet prove more influential.”
Byers remarked that Carlson’s alleged power move could serve as a template for other prominent figures with diminishing establishment media viewership.
Byers wrote for Puck News, “Tucker’s new media play might — if executed adroitly — serve as a paradigm for a generation of TV news personalities with huge followings and fandoms who remain marooned to their desks amid shrinking audiences.”
Although this is a very preliminary report, the possibility of Carlson starting his own media company is intriguing.
On the one hand, Carlson has never fully managed a media corporation, and certainly not one of the size necessary to compete with Fox.
On the other hand, Carlson did co-found the conservative news outlet The Daily Caller and has clearly amassed a devoted fan base and staff.
