Two anonymous sources have reignited demands for Attorney General Merrick Garland’s impeachment.
During a meeting, U.S. attorney David Weiss, who was investigating Hunter Biden as a special counsel, allegedly stated that he was not responsible for deciding whether or not to file charges against Hunter Biden and instead pointed the finger at Garland, who has stated that he did not interfere with the investigation, according to the testimony released last week by the House Oversight Committee.
Monday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy outlined the consequences for Garland should she deceive.
“If it comes true what the IRS whistleblower is saying, we’re going to start impeachment inquiries on the attorney general,” McCarthy reportedly remarked, as reported by CNN. Last week, Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert (CO-R) submitted articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, but McCarthy took no action. The articles were referred to committees of the House.

Rep. Darrell Issa of California stated, “It’s not an empty threat.”
“Congress can’t just look away from the culture of corruption that’s there for all to see, and the possibility of impeachment has to be on the table,” he said.
He claimed that Garland had earned it.
“From the start, AG Garland has allowed partisan politics to hold sway in the Justice Department — including the unprecedented targeting of parents,” he said.

The charges surrounding the Hunter and Joe Biden inquiry, according to Wyoming Republican Rep. Harriet Hageman, “make it abundantly clear a two-tiered system of justice exists today.”
“The Department of Justice, and the entirety of the federal government, must be a fair and impartial agency that enforces federal law, but under current leadership, it is a political weapon used to punish opponents of the president,” she said. CONTINUE READING…
