Tax evasion is no longer limited to the offspring of presidents.
In the year 2023, women possess an equivalent entitlement to evade contributing their “fair share” to government treasuries in comparison to men.
Or, at least that seems to be the stance of the first family, as Fox News reported on Monday that presidential heir Hunter Biden and his half-sister Ashley Biden are both in arrears on their tax obligations.
Fox News reported on Monday morning that Ashley Biden, the daughter of President Joe Biden and his second wife, Jill Biden, owes $5,000 in outstanding income taxes.
Fox viewed a “recent tax lien docket” containing the figure.
“Liens are legal claims imposed by the government on a property or assets to secure unpaid taxes after repeated attempts to collect,” Fox explained.
As per the source, the outstanding taxes pertain to the time period specified on the lien, which spans from January 1, 2015, to January 1, 2021.
Reportedly, neither Ashley Biden nor her attorney responded to Fox’s requests for comment.
A analogous request reportedly received no response from the White House either.
According to a document cited by Fox, on the first of the month, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue in Philadelphia County informed Ashley Biden that the “amount of such unpaid tax, interest, additions, or penalties is a lien in favor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania upon the taxpayer’s property — real, personal, or both — as the case may be.”
On Friday, Fox quoted Garrett Ziegler, the founder of the nonprofit Marco Polo and a former aide to President Trump, as saying, “This is yet another instance of the Bidens’ carelessness.”
Fox was informed by Ziegler, the founder of a website that showcases thousands of images extracted from the renowned laptop of Hunter Biden, that the lien was uncovered by his team during a “routine search” of Philadelphia court records.
“Like, you’d think that they would show a little bit more prudence when you’re the first when you’re the American first family to make sure you don’t have any tax liens on you, especially going into an election year,” he said.
Ziegler noted the absurdity that the family of the man who demands “fair share” from “millionaires and billionaires” on a regular basis does not even contribute their legally required amount.
“The scale is not anything like Hunter, but … Joe is constantly talking about how wealthy and connected people do not pay their fair share and can’t afford to pay more, and it just so happens that both of his living children did not pay their taxes,” Zeigler added.
Although he and his team were “not Republican activists,” Ziegler stated to Fox upon the introduction of his website that he supported former President Donald Trump.
Ashely Biden, age 42, is the only child of Joe and his second wife, Jill Biden, and the youngest child of her father.
Fox stated that she worked as a social worker for the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families after earning her master’s degree in social work in 2010. It was alleged that she had submitted an application for a doctorate in clinical social work earlier this year.
