A new book claims that King Charles III has a hidden nickname for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
The king refers to the dissident royal as “Tungsten,” according to an extract from “The New Royals” that ET Online previewed on Tuesday.
The moniker alludes to one of the hardest metals utilized in engineering and chemistry.
According to the BBC, the material is helpful for making bullets and missiles.
According to the book, Charles supposedly invented the moniker to acknowledge Meghan’s perseverance and fortitude.
According to royal historian Katie Nicholl’s book, Charles used this moniker for Meghan following Prince Harry’s marriage to the American-born former actress. Charles, who was then the Prince of Wales, used the term when Meghan began her official duties.
Relations between the Sussex family and the rest of the royal family are viewed as tense.
In 2021, Harry and Meghan quit as active, working royals to become full-time American citizens.
It’s unknown if the moniker has persisted since then. Meghan has lambasted the royal family in public interviews, prompting Queen Elizabeth to vow an inquiry after she accused an anonymous royal family member of racism.
After replacing his mother as king, some sources say that Charles has sought to isolate the Sussexes from the royal family. Last month, Harry and Meghan were reportedly “not invited” to a royal funeral celebration for working members of the royal family.
Meghan’s penchant for interpersonal turmoil has made her one of the least well-liked royals among British citizens. Despite having withdrawn from active responsibilities and ceasing to use the title “her royal highness,” the former American actress remains a royal.
Meghan was the second-least popular member of the royal family, trailing only notorious Jeffrey Epstein associate Prince Andrew, according to a May YouGov survey.
