Tuesday, Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, criticized former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton strongly. This was in response to Clinton’s humorous response to the recent indictment of Trump.
During her Monday appearance on The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, Hillary Clinton, who lost the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump, displayed visible mirth in response to Trump’s indictment.
Upon discovering of Donald Trump’s recent indictment in Georgia, she exclaimed, “Oh, I can’t believe this!” and then burst out chuckling. The accusations against him relate to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
During her appearance on the Fox News program “Hannity” on Tuesday evening, Lara Trump, however, voiced her discontent and criticized Clinton.
“She went into that interview with Rachel Maddow, by the way, laughing. She was laughing about this last night,” Trump objected. “Let me tell you something; there is nothing funny about this.”
She added:
There’s nothing funny about the erosion of our American values, about the erosion of our Constitution, about the weaponization of our systems like Third World countries do against political opponents. Nothing funny, Sean, about our current president of the United States selling out our country to enrich his family, and of all people, Hillary Clinton, to be talking about this, who admitted to doing things criminally that are far worse than anything Donald Trump is even accused of doing, yet as you pointed out, no indictment there.
During a recent appearance on Newsmax, Lara Trump criticized Hillary Clinton, emphasizing the absence of scrutiny of the former secretary of state’s actions by the Department of Justice. Specifically, Lara Trump noted that Clinton did not experience any consequences despite deleting 33,000 emails using the explicitly discouraged BleachBit software.
On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton and Rachel Maddow, a prominent MSNBC presenter, were heavily criticized on social media. This backlash was a result of Maddow’s criticism of those who spread the false notion that “every election is stolen” during their Monday night discussion.
“That the system of democracy at its heart is the idea that the people get to decide how we are governed. And if we no longer believe that our will is effectuated through the system, if bad actors tell us falsely that every election is stolen and that the only way an election is trustworthy is if they come out on top of it, it tells you something not just about that person or that moment, it maybe wounds us as a democracy and in a way that’s hard to repair,” Maddow said.
“What do you think about how we get better after the wounds that have been inflicted on us through this process?” the host asked Clinton.
“Well, I think the truth matters. I think having these cases be brought and be brought in such professional manners, we’ll see how they unfold. Obviously, the trials, if there are trials, are gonna be critically important,” the former 2016 Democratic presidential nominee said.
Mary Katharine Ham, the presenter of the podcast, responded to a footage of the exchange on multiple social media platforms. “Can y’all hear yourselves tho?”

Kind of awkward to tell Hillary to her face that she’s a bad actor who wounded our democracy. https://t.co/pRIE6L3Wsc

Several observers have commented on Maddow’s unrelenting propagation of the Russian collusion narrative following Trump’s 2016 election, claiming that she lacked all self-awareness.
Zero self-awareness coming from someone who promoted every debunked Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory to reverse the outcome of the 2016 election. https://t.co/AIW05swqdS

Indeed. Hillary claimed the 2000 and 2016 elections were stolen — and questioned the legitimacy of the 2004 elections. https://t.co/YUj8kXl574

Earth to Rachel Maddow…
