Massive Error Discovered In Jack Smith’s Plan!

In relation to his investigation of the former president of the United States, Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has contacted Republican Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia.

According to CNN, after the 2020 presidential election, when Trump was narrowly defeated by Vice President Joe Biden in his state and Governor Kemp refused to intervene, the two men fell out.

“I can confirm our office has been contacted by Jack Smith’s office, but we will decline to comment further at this time,” the governor’s spokesman, Andrew Isenhour, said.

CNN added in their report:

Federal investigators are focused on Trump’s efforts, as well as those of his top lawyers as they organized fake electors to submit votes to Congress on his behalf and sought to sway then-Vice President Mike Pence into blocking the election result certification.

Trump received a target letter in Smith’s investigation last Sunday, and his team is now bracing for an indictment in the case.

The target letter cites three statutes that Trump could be charged with: pertaining to deprivation of rights; conspiracy to commit an offense against or defraud the United States; and tampering with a witness, according to multiple news outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, that cited a person familiar with the matter.

Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced legislation this week that would defund the current investigation by special counsel Jack Smith in anticipation of a possible new indictment, as he was fed up with the Biden Justice Department’s unusual targeting of former president Trump.

Robert Hur, the special counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate President Joe Biden’s improper handling of secret documents, has not been in the public view much since his appointment in January, when the Florida Republican introduced his bill. In addition, it occurs after Trump’s statement on Tuesday that Smith will shortly charge him for the fracas in the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

“I will be introducing legislation to DEFUND Jack Smith’s witch hunt against President Trump,” Gaetz wrote on Twitter just hours after Trump’s announcement on Truth Social.

“They are attacking our democracy and engaging in election interference right now. The United States Congress has the capability to stop this election interference, and we must act immediately!” Gaetz added.

Gaetz stated in a podcast recording that was posted alongside his remarks that Trump would not be in such legal trouble if he were not ahead of President Joe Biden in the surveys.

The Republican lawmaker also criticized the Justice Department for a “lack of transparency” regarding who is actually part of the investigation, citing concerns about “the team of vicious Democrats” who were part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s “Russia collusion” investigation into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Fox News reported:

Gaetz’s bill comes after Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 federal charges stemming from Smith’s investigation into his alleged improper retention of classified records at Mar-a-Lago last month.

The charges include willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice and false statements. The indictment is the first time in U.S. history that a former president has faced federal criminal charges.

Trump is also facing 34 felony charges in New York for allegedly falsifying business records.

“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform Tuesday.

“A target letter from federal prosecutors to Trump makes clear that prosecutors are focused on Trump’s actions in the investigation into overturning the 2020 election – and not just of those around him who tried to stop his election loss,” CNN added.

“Justice Department regulations allow for prosecutors to notify subjects of an investigation that they have become a target. Often a notification that a person is a target is a strong sign an indictment could follow, but it is possible the recipient is not ultimately charged. Those notifications aren’t required, but prosecutors have the discretion to notify subjects that they have become a target. Once informed, a target has the opportunity to present evidence or testify to the grand jury if they choose,” the outlet added.
