During the Sirius XM “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast Wednesday, Kelly reacted to the leaked video shared on Twitter that showed Disney executive producer Latoya Raveneau referring to what she described as her “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” and the host made it clear the famed family company can take their woke agenda and shove it. (Disclosure: The Daily Wire has announced plans for kids entertainment content.)

The footage was posted on social media by the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher Rufo.

“So Disney and she [Disney Corporate President Karey Burke] have apparently made clear that they are going to be putting as many … LGBTQIA, two-spirit, goes on and on all these folks, in as many Disney movies as possible,” the host shared. “That they want these characters to become ubiquitous in the Disney movies.”

“And I think that is totally unnecessary and out of line,” she added. “I don’t want you to work out your wokeism on my kid! Okay! Do a movie that teaches tolerance, kindness, support for your fellow human beings. Don’t shove two-spirit people, which by the way is not a thing, and pansexual I had to look it up…so you’re bi I guess. That’s not a thing. That’s already a thing. They already have a letter.”

“I’m sorry, but please,” Kelly continued. “All these glommers who just want attention… Anyways, it’s good to know. We owe a debt of gratitude to Karey Burke for being so explicit about their plans and to certainly Chris Rufo for letting us all know about them. Beware. You beware. Don’t put a Disney movie on in front of your kid before you fully come to understand what it’s going to be promoting, who’s gonna be starring, and what agenda they’re pushing.”

The former Fox News host closed out her segment by stating that “they’re no longer the Disney of yesterday.”

As previously reported by The Daily Wire:

Latoya Raveneau, an executive producer for Disney who has worked on shows such as “The Proud Family,” explained how she was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming attitude and open-mindedness that the company had toward the LGBTQIA+ agenda, particularly as it relates to “adding queerness” to children’s television and movies, according to Rufo.

“Our leadership over there has been so welcoming to like, my like, not-at-all secret gay agenda,” Raveanu said in reference to the team that worked on “The Proud Family.”

“I felt like..maybe it was that way in the past, but I guess, like, something must have happened,” she added, in response to critics who allege the company was not-so-LGBT-friendly. “They’re turning it around, and then all that momentum that I felt, that sense of ‘I don’t have to be afraid, let’s have these two characters kiss in the background…wherever I could, I was basically adding queerness to the show, if you see anything queer in the show, ‘The Proud Family,’ nobody would stop me and nobody was trying to stop me.”

Burke also said the company needed to add more lead LGBTQIA characters to Disney stories, as reported by The Daily Wire:

I’m here as a mother of two queer children, actually, one transgendered child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader. We have many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in our stories and yet we don’t have enough leads, a narrative in which gay characters just — just get to be characters and not have to be about gay stories.

After the video was leaked, Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing announced on Wednesday that the company would “invest a minimum of $100 million over the next three years into a line of live-action and animated children’s entertainment on its streaming platform.”
