As First Lady, Melania Trump championed children in her BE BEST initiative, and as a highly educated nationalized American has always been ton top of issues, but since leaving the White House has kept a low profile on national situations. She now has begun to give interviews and recently spoke out on “Fox and Friends.”
On Sunday, Trump appeared on the Fox show and answered questions about In her first interview since she left the White House, Trump broke her silence on the problems on the problems facing the U.S, currently, record-high inflation, mounting shortage of baby formula, gas and diesel prices still rising and more.
Trump directly blamed “leadership” at the White House, specifically, the “lack thereof.”
“I think it’s sad to see what’s going on, if you really look deeply into it,” Melania shared. “I think a lot of people are struggling and suffering, and what is going on around the world as well. So, it’s very sad to see and I hope it changes fast.”
During the interview, co-host Pete Hegseth asked the former first lady what comes to her mind when she sees issues including baby formula shortages around the U.S., which she called “heartbreaking,” Conservative Brief reported.
“It’s been in the news, as someone who loves children and has dedicated so much to their betterment, how do you feel when you see [a] shortage of baby formula and families just struggling to get basic items like that?” Hegseth asked.
“It’s heartbreaking to see that they are struggling and the food is not available for children in [the] 21st century in [the] United States of America,” the former FLOTUS responded.
When Hegseth then asked for more explanation, Trump answered succinctly, “Leadership.”
“Leadership, or lack thereof?” the host asked, to which Melania responded, “Yeah.”
Parents around the country have found shelves empty of baby food, and are frantically posting on social media to obtain food from individuals or find recipes for homemade baby food. Citizens are asking why the unprecedented shortage exists, and calling for answers.
No answer from the Biden administration, but a report this week shows that the government is sending pallets of formula to feed infants of illegal migrants.
A lawmaker from Florida, Republican Kat Cammack, posted twice on Facebook Wednesday about the shortage of baby food. One of the postings showed the Biden Administration’s formula shipments to the border rather than boost domestic supplies for Americans, Conservative Brief reported.
“They are sending pallets, pallets of baby formula to the border,” said Rep. Cammack in one of two online postings on Wednesday.
“Meanwhile, in our own district at home, we cannot find baby formula,” she added, holding a photo of empty shelves where the formula would be.
According to Cammack’s video, formula is definitely going to the border.
“They’re receiving pallets and more pallets of baby formula at the border,” she said, holding one of the photos showing both Advantage brand formula and Gogo Squeez applesauce. Cammack sid she received the photo from a border agent.
“This was taken at Ursula processing facility [in McAllen, Texas] where thousands are being housed and processed and then released,” said Cammack.
She said the agent told her: “‘Kat, you would not believe the shipment I just brought in.’ He has been a border patrol agent for 30 years and he has never seen anything quite like this. He is a grandfather and he is saying that his own children can’t get baby formula.”
Cammack did not criticize the migrants receiving the formula but said the administration should put American parents first.
“I don’t know about you, but if I am a mother, anywhere anytime in America, and I go to my local Walmart or Target or Publix or Safeway or Kroger or wherever it may be that you shop and you are seeing their shelves and you are seeing signs that you are not able to get baby formula. And then you see the American government sending by the pallet thousands and thousands of containers of baby formula to the border, that would make my blood boil,” she said.
She added: “It is not the childrens’ fault at all. But what is infuriating to me is that this is another example of the America last agenda that the Biden administration continues to perpetuate,” Conservative Brief reported.
In another segment of the interview, Melania Trump, a former top model, was asked why fashion magazines never used covers of her while she was FLOTUS, but did use Democratic political female figures.
“They’re biased and they have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious,” the former first lady said. “And I think American people and everyone sees it. It was their decision and I have much more important things to do and I did in the White House than being on the cover of Vogue,” Trump responded.
