For a significant duration, former President Donald Trump has maintained his position as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president in 2024. However, Trump has been relatively reticent regarding his running mate selection.
Former vice president Mike Pence thwarted any potential future alliance with Trump, and his own campaign for the nomination failed miserably.
Republican candidates are numerous in number. Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL), Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas, Representative Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Commentator Candace Owens, Media Icon Tucker Carlson, Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), and Kari Lake of Arizona are among the individuals whose names have been tossed around.
As demonstrated by Pence’s conduct regarding J6, the vice president must possess the capacity to execute difficult determinations at will, including in the context of congressional affairs or electoral campaigns. Vice presidents are typically selected with the interests of the electorate in mind, so as to provide electoral equilibrium with the candidate and the platform. Undoubtedly, the vice president must also be prepared to assume the role of president when necessary.
At this time, speculation regarding the former first lady is being documented, with Melania expressing a preference for one of the candidates mentioned. Melania appears to be considering Tucker Carlson for the position of second-in-command.
REPORT: Melania Trump is pushing for Tucker Carlson to be Donald Trump’s VP pick for the 2024 election according to Axios.

Red State reports:
According to the report, she’s pushing for Tucker Carlson, and Trump isn’t shutting that down.
Trump – Tucker has a nice ring to it According to a source who spoke with the news outlet, Melania Trump believes Tucker is the best VP option and would “make a powerful onstage extension of her husband.”When asked about Tucker being his VP pick, Trump said, “I like Tucker a lot… He’s got great common sense.”
Could one envision a vice presidential debate featuring Tucker Carlson and Kamala Harris? Please bring the popcorn, and I will provide payment in the form of cash. That would be a sight to behold. Kamala would converse on topics such as the passage of time and Venn diagrams, whereas Tucker would simply chuckle at her foolishness. Unafraid to speak his mind, he undoubtedly would have made an effective ambassador for the ticket’s lobbying efforts. Moreover, he would unquestionably facilitate the completion of tasks.
According to Axios, the former first lady believes that Carlson, a pioneering independent journalist and former Fox News anchor, “would be a powerful onstage extension” of her husband Donald Trump, as reported by The New York Post.
Concerning Carlson’s suitability, the Post continued by stating that “according to Axios, the former president’s staff and close associates reportedly fear that Carlson will ‘outshine’ Donald Trump and that he ‘cannot be controlled.'”
Considering the fervent support and attendance at his rallies, it is challenging to envision an opponent surpassing Trump. However, while Carlson has proven to be a perceptive and influential political commentator, he has not fulfilled the responsibilities of a public servant. Nevertheless, neither was Trump prior to 2016.
Internet users were filled with approbation.

The Trump campaign’s official statement is that Trump has not decided yet and has stated that the focus now is winning the nomination, not choosing a VP yet.
The Post continued:
“‘The Axios story is pure fiction,’ the aide [of Trump’s team] said. ‘Unless there is a formal announcement from President Trump or his campaign team, then it’s just speculation and not coming from us. President Trump is solely focused on winning the Republican nomination and then defeating Crooked Joe Biden in the general election.’
“The report further claimed that former Trump administration officials Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, John McEntee, Jeffrey Clark (one of Trump’s co-defendants in the Georgia 2020 election interference case), Ric Grenell, John Ratcliffe, and Jared Kushner are also in the mix to fill out key White House roles and Cabinet posts.
“‘That list may never come true, but it’s a type of person that fully understands President Trump’s policies…that understands President Trump’s resolve and direction,’ Bannon, who briefly served as Trump’s chief strategist in the White House, said of the Axios report.
“‘There’s no middle ground. It’s either us or them, but one side is going to win and one side is going to lose. No compromise,’ Bannon added, arguing in support of Trump filling his potential second term administration with people who believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen.”
Obviously Trump’s team wants to leave speculation open for the time being. Last month Trump did remark that he would consider Carlson as a running mate “because he’s got great common sense.”
In response to a question this week regarding the possibility, Carlson admitted to being cagey. Carlson responded to the vice president’s query at the annual Christmas Gala of the American Principles Project Foundation by stating, “God would have to yell at me very loudly,” as reported by Semafor.
