Mitt Romney Issues Bold Warning To NATO

Squishy RINO, a Republican Senator from Utah, is ready to go nuclear over Russia and what Russian President Vladimir Putin has done in Ukraine. When defending conservative values, Romney shirks back in fear of the slightest discomfort that radical leftists may cause him- but if an injustice has happened in Ukraine- Romney is pushing for a World-War three- nuclear war style.

Romney, a vulture capitalist, is setting the stage for escalating ‘intervention” in the region- on behalf of Ukraine, and he very well could escalate the world into the very nuclear war he is pretending he wants to avoid.

Newsweek reported on Sunday:

Republican Senator Mitt Romney of Utah said Saturday that it’s necessary to be prepared for a nuclear strike given Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “illogical” acts.

“By invading Ukraine, Mr. Putin has already proved that he is capable of illogical and self-defeating decisions,” Romney said in an op-ed in The New York Times. “If he loses in Ukraine, he not only will have failed to achieve his life’s ambition to reverse what he sees as the ‘greatest geopolitical catastrophe’ of the 20th century—the collapse of the Soviet Union—but he will also have permanently diminished Russia as a great power and reinvigorated its adversaries.”

Putin hasn’t explicitly said that Russia will launch a nuclear strike, even though he has repeatedly expressed that he will respond to threats that target his country’s existence.

Although Putin has acted aggressively- he has not mentioned escalating into a nuclear war.

MSN reported:

Sen. Mitt Romney warned a “cornered and delusional” Putin could use nuclear weapons.

In a New York Times op-ed, Romney suggested strategies to face Putin in such a scenario.

Romney said continued support of Ukraine was necessary to avoid the subjugation of other countries.

Authorities are attempting to strip occupied Ukraine of its national culture.

Russia has installed its flags, monuments, and politicians in several Ukrainian cities and towns.

The occupied city of Kherson is even being forced to use the Russian ruble.

The New York Post reported on Romney’s op-ed:

The US and its NATO allies should prepare a “devastating” response to potential Russian nuclear action, Sen. Mitt Romney said on Saturday.

The call to action comes on the heels of threats from the Kremlin and warnings from Russian diplomats that the country’s Ukraine invasion could lead to a nuclear strike, the Utah Republican wrote in an op-ed for The New York Times.

“Russia’s use of a nuclear weapon would unarguably be a redefining, reorienting geopolitical event,” Romney, 75, wrote.

“We should imagine the unimaginable, specifically how we would respond militarily and economically to such a seismic shift in the global geopolitical terrain.”

The former presidential candidate presented several options available to western allies in addition to a nuclear response if a “cornered and delusional” Russian President Vladimir Putin deployed a nuclear weapon.

NATO forces could engage with Russia in Ukraine and crush out their attempts to reclaim the peaceful former Soviet territory, he wrote.

The US could also pressure China and other Russian allies to turn against its partner with an ultimatum, similar to the one delivered by former President George W. Bush after the 9/11 attacks.

“You are either with us, or you are with Russia — you cannot be with both,” Romney wrote.

Any nation that aligned with a post-nuclear Russia would be a “global pariah,” and would be forced to endure an “economic Armageddon,” which is “far preferable to nuclear Armageddon,” he said.

Matt Tabbi, the author of useful idiots, wrote in response to Romney’s great ideas. :

“Here’s Mitt Romney writing in the NYT suggesting we pull a Bush-style “You’re either with us or with the terrorists” move with China. These people are nuts.”

Other reactions on social media was not supportive of Romney the RINO:

“Mitt Romney went from gutting companies and selling the pieces to suggesting we do the same with foreign policy,” Terry Kinder wrote in reaction.

“If NATO makes a move to ‘obliterate’ RF, Putin will use a single tactical nuke vs a military target as a warning. At the 1st hint that we will retaliate in kind, he’ll then take out our satellites w/a 1st strike. It will be our Last Chance to back off before Armageddon commences,” another poster wrote, slamming Romney.

Left-leaning- Business Insider gave us a glimpse into what could be the real interest in Ukraine- and why Romney might be interested- currency.

“Amid the ongoing violence of war, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s apparent long game in Ukraine — a nefarious attempt to assert total and long-term control on the neighboring country — is coming into clear view.

From the introduction of Russian currency to the complete shuttering of Ukrainian broadcasting, the Kremlin is taking extreme measures to make Ukrainian towns look, feel, and operate like Russia.”
