Never Forget: Liz Cheney Increased Her Wealth by $36 Million After Serving Just 6.5 Years in Congress

Published on

Tucker Carlson criticized former U.S. Representative Liz Cheney for becoming wealthy, earning close to $6 million a year, while she was in office.

Cheney’s pay in Washington, D.C., as a member of Congress has been $174,000 per year since she began this position in 2017.

Just two years after her arrival in Washington, DC, Republican Speaker Paul Ryan (RINO-WI) promoted her to the position of House Republican Conference Chair. Ryan did this knowing that Cheney was a strident Never Trump supporter.

According to OpenSecrets, Cheney’s estimated net worth in 2018 was over $15 million.

Accordingly, Cheney was allegedly worth $7 million in 2017, and she is expected to be worth $44 million in 2023.

That is a substantial amount of money for someone whose job is to serve the public.

Tucker Carlson harshly criticized her for her wealth:

Breitbart provided further information on Cheney’s accumulation of funds:

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) will resign from Congress on Tuesday, having become a rich individual during her six years of service to Wyoming.

Cheney, who lost her Republican primary in August by nearly 40 points, will leave Congress on January 3 and return home as a defeated 56-year-old Trump opponent.

Cheney will not leave Congress with nothing. During her six years in Congress, she has amassed a substantial fortune. Breitbart News claimed in August that Cheney’s net worth has increased from an estimated $7 million when she initially assumed office in 2017 to a possible $44 million by 2020. Depending on the details of her most recent financial disclosure form, Cheney’s net worth in Congress might have increased by up to 600 percent.

Cheney reported a net worth between $10,422,023 and $44,140,000 on her 2020 Personal Financial Disclosure form, based on assets valued between $10,432,024 and $44,155,000. She did not declare any earnings, gifts, or transactions. She did report having three positions, including a trusteeship at the University of Wyoming, membership in a holding firm, and an apparent role in her family’s trust.
