New DHS Terrorism Bulletin Is Absolutely Terrifying

On February 7th, the Department of Homeland Security published a new terrorism advisory bulletin and everyone should be absolutely terrified at what they included. Not because of actual terrorism from actual terrorists, but from terroristic authoritarian dictatorship by our very own federal government.

The federal government is labeling anyone who says anything they deem to be misinformation, or who says anything which might undermine trust in them, as potential domestic terrorist threats.

That is absolutely terrifying.

Here are a couple of really key excerpts from the advisory.

“The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors. These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions…”

“…the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions…”

You see that?

“False or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories,” specifically those that “undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.” That is so terrifying. What constitutes a “false or misleading narrative” or a “conspiracy theory,” and who gets to decide? Them? The federal government? The ones labeling you a domestic terrorist for whatever they decide is a “false or misleading narrative” or “conspiracy theory?”

That last bit is especially significant. It literally gives me chills. They won’t let you say anything that could undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions. So if you say anything that reflects poorly on a government institution, all they have to do is deem it to be a false or misleading narrative or a conspiracy theory and say your criticism is undermining public trust in a government institution. Then you’re a domestic terrorist. Then you can be dealt with.

And societal friction has been the catalyst for necessary change throughout all history! It led to the abolition of slavery and the civil rights movement. The left would say that societal friction is what their social justice movement is all about. So societal friction is bad if it supports something the U.S. government deems to be a false or misleading narrative or conspiracy theory, or if it undermines public trust in government institutions, but not if it fits their approved narrative, apparently.

Not that long ago, the lab leak theory was a false or misleading narrative and conspiracy theory that exacerbated societal friction to sow discord and potentially undermine public trust in government institutions. Now it’s the reigning mainstream theory with significant factual evidence.

Not that long ago, the Hunter Biden laptop, Biden family Ukraine deals, vaccines preventing Covid transmission/contraction/death, vaccine passports, Critical Race Theory indoctrination, pedophiles in government and media institutions, FBI inciting domestic terrorism, and countless other major issues were considered false or misleading narratives or conspiracy theories that exacerbated societal friction to sow discord and potentially undermine public trust in government institutions. Now they’re all verified fact.

Do you see where I’m going with this? My favorite joke these days is, “What’s the difference between a dangerous right-wing conspiracy theory and the truth? About 6-12 months.”

What they’re doing is labeling any free speech that is inconsistent with the U.S. government’s current version of the correct narrative, or which might reflect poorly on the U.S. government, as a domestic terrorist threat.

They are calling criticism of government institutions domestic terrorism. And that is terrifying.

What about all the people who reasonably suggest that the President of the United States has dementia and isn’t capable of running the country, thus he isn’t actually the one running the country? It’s technically a false or misleading narrative or conspiracy theory until it’s proven 100% accurate with verifiable and indisputable evidence. And it definitely undermines public trust in government institutions. In the entire U.S. government, in fact.

Or that the intelligence community is being intentionally vague and misleading about the Ukraine/Russia situation to justify them taking actions they may not be able to take otherwise and which aren’t actually in the best interest of the country?

Or that government health agencies like the CDC, NIH, and FDA actively conspired to hide/manipulate data, discredit certain treatments, and overlook certain scientific data in an effort to push a particular partisan political agenda?

These are all very important and necessary questions and conversations, and yet they all qualify as potential domestic terrorism under this terrifying new terrorism bulletin.
