One biographer asserts that former President Barack Obama has concealed many things behind his meticulously cultivated public image.
The author of “Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama,” David Garrow, believes that the former president’s letters to his ex-girlfriend Sheila Miyoshi Jager contain many revelatory details.
“Barack made it clear to me that he hoped I would never read them — I can put it that way. I think if the letters to Sheila ever become public, I think that will be a signal event,” Garrow told Fox News in an interview published Thursday.
Garrow explained that Obama’s letters to Jager would demonstrate their “extremely serious and intense” relationship.
Obama turned 62 years old on August 4. People in their seventh decade typically have a few demons in their vault. In most instances, public knowledge of these relics only encourages further rumors.
However, tales of the former president’s past relationships bear greater than tabloid-level intrigue. They disclose recurring characteristics in Obama’s life: opportunism, elitism, and phoniness.
Jager informed Garrow that Obama made two marriage proposals. He was rejected twice by her.
Obama later claimed that the breakup occurred because Jager, who has European and Asian ancestry, did not fit into his developing “black consciousness.”
The separation, according to Jager, was precipitated by Obama’s refusal to condemn a black Chicago official who made anti-Semitic remarks. According to The Jewish Chronicle, she stated, “I questioned him on the issue of racism against blacks.”
Garrow stated that Obama’s political ambitions would have rendered his marriage to Jager impossible.
“The one aspect that I will endorse or that is inescapably true is that by 1988, he knew he wanted to run for public office in Chicago,” Garrow told Fox.
“And he knew … that having a wife like Sheila Jager, half-Dutch, half-Japanese, would not cut it in black Chicago. … Having a non-black spouse 25, 35 years ago was an active political problem for a black candidate,” the biographer said.
Whether or not Obama’s subsequent marriage to Michelle Robinson was politically motivated, it certainly had elements of opportunism.
In addition, the Obamas’ extraordinary affluence and celebrity status have endowed them with an elitist aura, which is a far cry from their humble beginnings on the South Side of Chicago.
“There’s no resemblance between their lives today and who they were 20 years ago,” Garrow said. Black Chicagoans, he added, “could see this sort of ‘desire to hang with celebrities’ thing building” during Obama’s presidency.
Many of the former president’s detractors have always considered him to be a charlatan. Disclosures of intimate information only confirm this impression.
Garrow made headlines last week when he told Tablet magazine that in letters to another ex-girlfriend, Alex McNear, Obama admitted to having “repeatedly fantasized” about homosexuality.
Similarly, in a June episode of “Tucker on Twitter,” Tucker Carlson made a cryptic remark about Obama’s private behavior.
“By 2008, it was obvious to anybody who was paying attention that Barack Obama had a strange and highly creepy personal life. Yet nobody ever asked him about it,” Carlson said.

Millions of people support former President Donald Trump for the exact opposite reason. Trump always seems genuine to us, for better or worse.
The more we learn about Obama, the less credible he appears.
