Typically, Emergency Powers pertaining to government actions are enacted in the event of a natural or man-made disaster, allowing governors or presidents to make fast decisions to aid their constituents.

While the United Nations is not a governing body, its charter describes the majority of its functions as “maintaining international peace,” “investigating any dispute,” “recommending methods for resolving disputes,” “formulating plans,” and “recommending action,” among other terms that suggest an advisory role.

In the United Nations’ charter, however, the phrase “to take military action against an aggressor” appears.

And now, the far-left United Nations is attempting to acquire ‘global emergency’ powers with Joe Biden’s sanction.

This is concerning because the United States has come to distrust the United Nations over the years, as they have demonstrated that they do not have America’s best interests in mind. In September 2024, the United Nations will convene a summit that will threaten American liberties.

The United Nations will convene a historic “Summit of the Future” just before the next presidential election in the United States, where member nations will ratify a Pact for the Future. The agreement will consolidate numerous policy reforms proposed by the United Nations over the past two years as part of its comprehensive Our Common Agenda initiative.

If you were surprised by the U.S. government’s endeavor to impose pandemic-related mandates, hold on to your headwear. It appears that the U.N. wishes to inform the world what it can and cannot do in the event of another pandemic.

Although the agenda contains a number of radical proposals, perhaps none is more significant than the United Nations’ plan for a new “emergency platform,” an astonishing proposal to grant the United Nations significant powers in the event of future “global shocks” or another global pandemic.

Many of the details of the U.N. emergency platform were laid out in a March 2023 policy paper titled “Strengthening the International Response to Complex Global Shocks — An Emergency Platform.” Once triggered, the emergency platform would give the U.N. the ability to “actively promote and drive an international response that places the principles of equity and solidarity at the center of its work.”

Are you still concerned? Even though mandates and mandatory measures proved ineffective and many of the claims made about government-imposed initiatives during the pandemic have been debunked, the United Nations wants to increase its control over individual lives.

The UN would also reserve the right to extend the emergency as they see fit. Although the duration of the emergency platform would initially be set for a “finite period,” according to the UN’s own policy proposal, “at the end of that period, the Secretary-General could extend the work of an Emergency Platform if necessary.”

Therefore, once implemented, the United Nations could continue to assume control indefinitely. And the current president, Joe Biden, appears to endorse this agenda.

The Federalist reports that in at least two speeches in March 2022, U.S. Ambassador Chris Lu stated that the Biden administration supports this emergency platform and numerous other proposals included in “Our Common Agenda,” effectively selling out the freedoms of the United States of America.

“The emergency platform would centralize an immense amount of power and influence, giving the United Nations greater control over the lives of Americans than it ever had before,” the Federalist noted.

The Biden administration’s support for these global maneuvers demonstrates the Democrats’ wish to undermine the independence and sovereignty of the United States and transfer the country over to the power-hungry United Nations. This autumn, Biden will advocate for increased U.N. authority at a new gathering.

In June, the Washington Post reported that “The Biden administration is consulting with diplomats from the organizations 193 member states to solicit feedback about a potential expansion of the powerful council [U.N. Security Council] ahead fo the world leaders’ annual gathering in New York this fall.”

During his presidency, former President Donald Trump warned the United Nations against such measures.

In his 2019 address to the United Nations, President Trump made it plain that the United States is not interested in a “globalist” agenda.

“The future does not belong to globalists. The future belongs to patriots. The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations who protect their citizens, respect their neighbors, and honor the differences that make each country special and unique,” President Trump stated.

He added, “Freedom and democracy must be constantly guarded and protected, both abroad and from within. We must always be skeptical of those who want conformity and control. Even in free nations, we see alarming signs and new challenges to liberty.”

“There is no circumstance under which the United States will allow international entities to trample on the rights of our citizens…” Trump declared near the end of his 2019 speech.
