A Republican activist and attorney from New Hampshire perished under suspicious circumstances.
According to WBTS-CD, Alexander Talcott, 41, was discovered deceased in his Durham, New Hampshire residence on Saturday.
Talcott was discovered with a neck puncture wound.

In a statement released on Sunday, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office indicated that a medical examiner had deemed the lawyer’s death a homicide.
In a statement provided to WBTS, the state director of the New Hampshire chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association eulogized Talcott.
William O’Brien discussed Talcott’s leadership position within the organization.
“His unwavering belief in liberty, free markets, and limited government resonated deeply in his role as a lawyer.”
“Within the RNLA, his leadership was unwavering in promoting our shared values, ensuring every member felt empowered and well-prepared.”
Talcott served as the organization’s leader in 2021, per WMUR-TV.
On August 24, the Republican attorney mentioned the party’s presidential primary debate on his personal X, formerly known as Twitter, account.

As of Monday morning, according to the New York Post, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder.

Authorities are investigating the possibility that the individual who stabbed Talcott was acting in self-defense.
Monday, the New Hampshire Department of Justice informed Law & Crime that it had identified additional suspects in the murder.
“Parties involved in the incident have been identified, and based on the information known to investigators, there is no danger to the public,” the state said of the situation.
Talcott leaves behind a spouse and three children.
