Rush Limbaugh is widely recognized as the GOAT of conservative radio talk shows, and recent news highlighted by Glenn Beck reaffirms that Rush is still the GOAT. What appears on Limbaugh’s death certificate is sure to give his admirers comfort and cause them to grin.
“It was a way to tweak the media as a final goodbye from Rush, which we know he certainly would have loved,” Limbaugh’s adored wife said in a recent interview with Beck.
According to his profile, Rush Limbaugh was the GOAT:
“Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, Radio’s Greatest of All Time and America’s Anchorman, revolutionized the media industry with his unprecedented on-air political analysis and sharp satirical humor. After years working as a Top 40 disc jockey and a stint with the Kansas City Royals, he launched The Rush Limbaugh Show out of Sacramento in 1988. His influence spread rapidly as word of his unique take on current events reached the nation. He was featured on news programs and late-night talk shows, began the Rush to Excellence Tour, and started his own television show. Radio syndication grew from 56 to an unheard-of 600 stations, with over 30 million weekly listeners.
In recognition of his national influence, Rush was inducted into the Hall of Famous Missourians, the Radio Hall of Fame, the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and received five Marconi Radio Awards. He was also widely esteemed as an adult and children’s author, including seven #1 New York Times bestselling books and as a recipient of the Children’s Choice Author of the Year Award. In 2020, Rush was presented with the highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, by President Donald J. Trump. Rush Limbaugh leaves a lasting legacy of excellence, determination and patriotism.”
President Donald J. Trump proclaimed Limbaugh the greatest of all time in front of the country on Capitol Hill roughly a year before he passed away.
“Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and that you inspire, and all of the incredible work you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.” In his 2020 State of the Union address, President Donald J. Trump stated.
The Blaze said that Limbaugh’s widow provided him with some good news:
“Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, widow of conservative radio legend Rush Limbaugh, joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Tuesday to reflect on her husband’s life and legacy, saying she believes one of his greatest attributes was that “he was so humble. He had the biggest heart. He was so sincere, [and] he never forgot the little guy.”
Kathryn chuckled when asked if the story that Rush’s death certificate identifies his occupation as “Radio’s Greatest of All Time” is accurate. “Yes. We have to be on brand at all times. Very important … it was a way to tweak the media as a final goodbye from Rush, which we know he certainly would have loved.”

Glenn questioned Kathryn if Elton John, who notably sang at the couple’s wedding in 2010, was aware that she was marrying the conservative talk radio host.
More on this story via The Republic Brief:
“He did!” Kathryn answered. “And this may be breaking news, but I believe that Sir Elton John and Rush are actually very, very similar. They had quite a similar demeanor off of their performance personality. I believe that they both were so hard-working, they both were at the top of their game, so to speak, they both loved their audience … so in many respects, they were very similar.” CONTINUE READING…
