“We have a 50-50 Senate,” he said on Sunday’s WABC 770 AM radio show. “And yet, Democrats — except for two — were willing to destroy the institution of the Senate to pass [the bills].”
He shared that there isn’t a mandate by the Americans for these bills. The senator said that the far-left Dems; want this bogus voting reform to make the US a one-party state.

“Show me a person in the recent past who has wanted to vote but couldn’t,” he said, saying that “nobody is suppressing the vote.”
The bills that the Dems attempted to pass, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the Freedom to Vote act, would’ve ended the rule of the US.
The Freedom to Vote Act would have ended the necessity for voters to show an ID photo to vote, allowed the felons to vote in all states, and allowed same-day voter registration.
The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act sought to undo court rulings that restrained the Voting Rights Act from 1965 by requiring certain states to be approved by the fed government prior to enacting their own voter laws and re-drawing voter districts.
The bills are for abuse and exploitation. With the poor excuse that the Republicans want to make it harder for people to vote in Republican-led districts, they would’ve given the Dems all the tools necessary to steal every possible election.
What do losers do when they lose?
They want to change the rules to win! After the Dems’ embarrassing defeat, they wanted to change the filibuster rule to get around the Senate’s 60-vote requirement. This way, they can pass both America-killing bills by one legislation.

I am profoundly disappointed that the Senate has failed to stand up for our democracy. I am disappointed — but I am not deterred.
We will continue to advance necessary legislation and push for Senate procedural changes that will protect the fundamental right to vote.
